lotd79227yPersonally, I would prefer not giving a flying fuq about what others think.
But as it could potentially put you in a firing scope, you might want to straighten things out.
For recovering, well getting to the root of the accusations then resolving it or asking them why they think so, and what you can do to improve on it. -
Hmm. Need more to go on. Sounds like a violation of many laws. But depends on your country and bosses. And whether there's any basis in truth for what's being said. Did you screw up something and not learn? Or are you being unfairly treated? Etc.

@CrankyOldDev somewhat not close. All the devs here know that being able to alter an element in a webpage via injection is just a small thing that need to be fixed. It's just that these Psychology graduates (HRs) make everything big. They judge you and think the entire system is being hacked and file a complaint giving u a bad record that completely screwed you up emotionally and mentally that might forever hunt you.

meowth4297y@nikolatesla (eng manager here) at first it sounded like a technical disagreement, but actually it sounds like there is just one problem, or just one main problem and that's the relationship with HR. It sounds like they are mischaracterising disagreements? Or technical decisions?

How do u recover from bad reputation at work? Like, false accusations and wrong perceptions about you which you have no control over? Should you guard your reputation or should you just stop caring what other people think?
