Just installed Kubuntu on my netbook.
KDE Connect 💕
I can be lazy now and control my netbook from my phone 😊
Also notification sync, file sharing etc!21 -
Just moved, new room, let's try to setup port forwarding!
Well, i thought that too. Just spent hours trying to get this motherfucker to work. Tutorials, everything.
Every time that damn can't connect error. About to lose my shit.
Suddenly *hold on, is Apache installed on my new KDE Neon installation?!*
*oops* 😅5 -
Look, KDE Connect. I like you, but you don't have to tell me 8 times in single milisecond that I play a song on Spotify.3

KDE. There's just so much awesome stuff under it. Plasma, Krita, Kdenlive, KDE Connect... Most of the bleeding-edge Linux desktop development is happening under KDE.6

KDE Connect is really a blessing. The fact that I can do everything and more with Android plus Linux combo than iOS plus Mac is superb. I mean, I can remotely send power off command, start Spotify and control it, remotely start apt upgrade, or turn off the screen is so useful. Plus I can reply to the any message from any messaging app, get notifications and transfer files quickly from PC to smartphone and the other way is just great.3

Someone wanted to take a look to kde on Ubuntu 18.04 in my laptop, so did:
`sudo tasksel install kubuntu-desktop`
After rebooting and all did:
`sudo tasksell remove kubuntu-desktop`
and now I don't have GUI. The problem is that I can't also have network, neither by WiFi or ethernet. So I can't install packages.
The best way to fix that is to reinstall Ubuntu? Or there is a way to recover the ability to connect to network?
BTW, yes: "someone" was myself.
Shame on me 😔5 -
Why doesnt Windows have something like KDE connect or Airdrop? I hate uploading files to a cloud and downloading them again on the pc just because i dont have a cable at hand!4
