Fuck Korn shell and it's stupid ass syntax.
Like why do you need a space after "if" and the curly bracket it's own line to execute -
Dad come home with a computer from his office that they where going to "throw away"... taught me how to move icons around

I had been so stressed about not getting interviews as my final semester's coming to an end. It looked like I was going to be staying unemployed for a while and that I might have to take any job offered wether I liked it or not.
Now slowly but surely interviews are lining up and for the first time it seems like I have options and might land my dream job -
Serious question, why do people prefer vim or emacs? I understand that they have alot of shortcuts and what not but so do other editor. Just curious. Don't kill me9

Why, oh why do we keep using such bizarre tech names e.g Hadoop, Pig, Oozie, Sqoop, Bleeg, Flume...5

So, I apply for a job and they send me an automated email with my username....and my pasword....in plain text...I should use a different password for my applications....4

Revature. Does anyone have experience with them. I have been approached by them but half of me thinks it feels like scam. I look online at Glassdoor and they have good reviews but on Reddit they are pretty polar. What is everyone's opinion here?

Dear Recruiter,
I know you are trying to find the best employees for your company and are working very hard at it, but if you want the best results please be accurate about the posting. Do not put a job as Entry-level if the position requires 7+ years of experience. That is a senior level job. You will lose respect from those that have the experience and discourage all of the entry-level applicants from applying
Regards
An Entry level employee1 -

My cousin on 12 was watching me edit my site and asked if he can do it too.
Two hours later he comes running to me with a twinkle in his eye to show of his creation. He made a simple html site with buttons and checkboxes and what not.
Now he is learning JS and getting frustrated because it is not adding HTML snippets dynamically...
I am a proud brother :]6 -
You know what annoys me...compnies dropping of the face of the earth. Like I take to the recruiter over the email. We set up a phone screen with HR and then with the Dev team, we talk about on site interview, WE DISCUSS THE TIME AND THEN NOTHING. Weeks go by and no emails or replies. Like what am I doing wrong here. This happened for the third time!2
