The assholes in my class (or just my classmates) keep asking me:"Yo, man, do you hack to websites and stuff?" And I always say " No, I don't really know how" and they keep saying " why won't you learn how to do this, shouldn't be that hard" and it's getting really hard to explain to them that I have no desire to ruin someones day, I just want to help people and make others happier. Any ideas for new answers for these questions?
Or, if you like, any good websec books?10 -
Looking for a suggestion for a Visual Studio material theme, or any other good dark themes, because my eyes can no longer stand the default dark theme.

tldr: my classmates suck and I hate them
We study cs in school, and my classmates are super dumb.
Here is an example from today:
The task: build an http server in python, using sockets.
My classmates: writes everything in the main function, uses try-expect for everything and every error possible, nothing works, nothing worked after a week.
Me: properly separated to different functions, used goddam regrx to get data from requests, used asyncio to make sure it can handle multiple requests at the same time, everything worked after 2 hours.
But, and here is the problem, after I finish they ask me a bunch of dumb, 'Just Google it dude' questions and they call me condescending because I get mad after the second hour of teaching them the same thing.
Once they told me:"you think you are a better programmer then us" and I just want to say this out loud: I AM A BETTER PROGRAMMER THEN THEM, THEY ARE THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HOW YOU SHOULDN'T DO ANYTHING AND I HATE THEM.
That's it, I'm done. I feel much better now.
PS: it's okay to suck at programming, but please stop thinking that everyone who's better than you is condescending.4 -
I have a suggestion: in the downvote reasons menu, there should be an option:"You meme is shitty, this is the 5th time I saw it in devrant TODAY and it wasn't funny in the first time I saw it"2

Asus. I had an asus laptop and everything was fine for a year, but after a year it stopped working on battery and their tech-support representative was really rude to me + they refused to fix it.4

So I had this awesome idea yesterday, and I was really in to it and all, so before I started working on it I googled some stuff, and while looking for something (how do you generate session cookies) I just found out that somebody did EXACTLY what I wanted to do. Now I'm sad.7

I've never seen infinity war, but I know the plot (in general) because of bad memes. I'm not going to see it now.1

I had a bug in my code, I was sure I fixed it but when I tested it nothing was charged. I asked my friend to take a look, and when he looked over my code I found out what the problem was: I tested with the older version.

When people finish their rants with Fin I feel like I need to comment FIN-ACK to complete the TCP session.5

So I have a chrome extension, and someone reviewed it. At first she gave me one star, and wrote "extension is not working, bad UI, not good!" And ten minutes later, she gave me five stars and wrote "good extension, good features, working fine, good UI, loved it".
I saw this a week after, and I wonder: what happened in these ten minutes?5
