I need to test a client's website for DDoS attack performance, it has been attacked in the past and I want to know what kind of changes are the most effective, are there any good tools/services you know?

I and a few of my classmates are organizing a science fair, the goal for it is to include all kinds of scientific projects, but the main focus will be on Computer science.

I am interested in learning from your experience, what are some things that you'd like to see? What are some things that you dislike? What's a good way of selecting top projects?

Doesn't it suck that we still need to write an app multiple times for different operating systems? I mean for me it seems like how the web was a decade ago. I think we deserve better!
