    have you tried turning it off and on again? 😂😂

    now for real:
    see if your hd shows on bios, if not, try to unplug it and plug again, perhaps if you slammed the table after the bsod you made it unplug a little 👍

    @azous I hope he `git push`ed recently 😁

    I'm no fan of VS, but this might just be a hardware fault.
  • 3
    @fuckfuckityfuck It's definitely a hardware fault, but VS crashed right before it happened, so I retain the VS fault.
  • 2
    yeah, or like @fuckfuckityfuck said. maybe your HD went rogue and it crashed everything
  • 1
    @kevbost I can get behind that.
  • 2
    @azous I turned it back on to boot to bios, but forgot the key - it's actually booting into Windows now......

    @kevbost holy fuck 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

    Yup.......... ctrl + alt + delete to log in. Thank goodness I had devrant to pour my immediate anger into.

    For real though, that's a scary fault to have. This is a company laptop but it may be worthwhile to flip it and check the hdd connection.

    Well, just 'git push' everything haha Never trust HDD.
  • 1
    @felipebhz so your git server is all flash?
  • 2
    @iwakirinko never trust hdd even less ssd keep backups of your backups 😂
  • 2
    this is not VS fault. it is either windows or your hard drive has bad sectors. download HDD regenerator and scan for bad sectors. if that does not solve your problem. open and in admin mode and type sfc/ scannow. and if even that does not solve your problem simply do a Windows refresh.

    I suspect your VS crashes because of a hard disk failure, and Windows then crashed because of the same hard disk failure.
  • 0
    @iwakirinko I mean to keep a backup. I think you got it.

    @code-freak I know it's not VS's fault, I just got fed up with it not being *nix, and it stopped responding moments before it happened. I'll take your advice, luckily it's not a permanent problem so I'll run the tests tomorrow morning.

    with Dell: @startup, press F12 and run diagostics (could take a while). A lot of hardware errors can be detected and corrected this way

    I would replace my hard drive. Just saying. :-/

    @Lukas That's great to know, thank you. I'll run it tomorrow morning.

    @fuckfuckityfuck I agree - hardware caused VS to die

    btw glad to see that u are using the veteran Dell Latitude 😢

    @jswarnakar yuup not my first pick but it's a damn powerhouse.
  • 0
    @kevbost even i loved it except for the fact that cygwin was so lame running scripts on it. Realized what i had missed when i got a mac.
  • 0
    @jswarnakar naah life is so much better in nix. Cygwin is fine (as is conemu, cmder, babun, etc) but it's core purpose is just trying to get back to the glory of linux.

    Backup your data asap. HDD is on vacations planning mode.

    I typed "I fucking hate drupal" in google, and this came up
  • 1
    @Linux Wait... this devRant?
  • 2
    @kevbost
    yes, in Google Pictures
  • 1
    @Linux That's hilarious, it has nothing to do with drupal, I wonder why!

    @iwakirinko host all corporate hardware on RAM drives for performance.
