When you're working on an uni project with a fucking idiot who tests stuff with this kind of messages and then forget to remove them a few days before the deadline… fml.

I work at the frontend, he at the backend, so I shouldn't even have to check his code, but after seeing this I fucking have to.

Useless to say that he loaded these kind of placeholders also in the database.
So the admin name is "PieroGay", which is the name of the professor who will evaluate the project...

The worst thing is this bastard will graduate in 1 month, while I probably next year.

    That project must have a great git history
  • 20
    @alexbrooklyn He makes commits with 100+ files changed at once, with "random stuff" as description.

    lmao that professor thing, how has the dude made it this far?
  • 9
    That sure is some next level immaturity mixed with a good amount of not knowing shit.
  • 4
    At least there are prepared statements
  • 4
    that's some fine shity shit right there, in the shit!!!
  • 3
    @alexbrooklyn but creates memory leaks
  • 4
    Aaaw Italian jokes <3

    PieroGay...

    Now that's some decent stuff!

    I see an NPE lurking at the very first line

    People with more relaxed views always have better luck.
    Maybe you should try it.
  • 4
    @mundo03 relax != irresponsibility
  • 8
    My debug printfs are usually like "fuck this shit".

    And I once delivered a document draft to a customer whith several instances of "BANANA" with yellow background. He was confused. ^^

    out.println(" NO TU");
  • 3
    @JS96 irresponsibillity != Childish messages on the code

    You have to chill
  • 3
    @mundo03 yea I agree, and to be fair, I used to do that shit. Helped me deal with my aggression lmao.
  • 2
    @Mosesrocks haha exactly and I bet you were luckier back then
  • 2
    Devrant helps me with my aggression nowadays lol
  • 5
    @mundo03 my degree depends on these childish messages.
    That professor has evaluated negatively some projects for less.

    It all depends by the context, in some cases these messages are funny and totally acceptable, in others they're not.
  • 2
    @JS96 still is not irresponsibillity,i it might be lack of professionalism.

    Also, you still have to chill, nothing will be ever as easy as it is now for you.
    So, take it easy dude, learn, shit, learn more, shit more

    @coffeeholic because he didn’t close the connection right?
  • 3
    @dalastTomCruise from the screenshot u cannot see if the connection is closed or not. but since the PreparedStatement is not, I can only guess neither the connection is. and yes u r correct these could lead to memory leaks.
  • 3
    @coffeeholic You're absolutely right, he didn't. I had to.
  • 1
    @maushax irresponsibillity would be if h got caught and did not own the problem
  • 2
    @mundo03 he didn't…
    He was 100% sure his code is perfect and don't need any changes.

    But I decided to look at it finding those messages, and I had to remove them personally.
  • 3
    I would probably leave those prints. It's a long and glorious tradition of uni projects in Italy to have these kind of "easter eggs".
    Once I even found one in a production library I was documenting for one of my professors.

    P.s. and no... That library was not written by students.

    @Pickman
    Student: "Piero Gary"
    ...
    Piero: :O "how did you know?"
