*during project development, we use a library as core of tye app*

Manager: We need to add feature X.
Me: The library developer announced that this feature is not supported.
Manager: why is that?
Me: *giving some tech explanation*
Manager: ok, but still we need it urgently, we told the client we already have it.

Just a simple day on my work

    @Coffe2Code i know those days.

New client: we won't purchase from you without having this feature

Sales: oh yea, that's already in development and will be out later this week

New client: oh nice, alright here's my money.

Sales: hey dev, we need this new feature by Friday, it shouldn't take long and it will be a massive hit, other clients will benefit from it aswell.

Me: it's fucking Wednesday afternoon, and your "feature" not only is front end heavy, but will require data coming from a 3rd party we don't already receive.

Sales: not my problem, just have it done.

    New client: where's our feature?

Me: delivers feature 3 weeks later

Let's just say, new client didn't stay, sales guy no longer has a job and feature is in prod with 0 usage. 🤷‍♂️

@Coffe2Code still, he sells something you dont have as something you do have without consulting with the dev team. Its all up to him

@C0D4 your ending it's the same in our case, except that the sale guy stays.
And he is the boss of the company.
    And I'm feed up
And I would like to hang him with a rope made out of the skin of his own balls.
