    Have a nice day!

    This made me laugh so loud 😂
    Here, have some increments
  • 31
    Haha, this turned out so much better than expected :)
  • 69
    IE still the fastest browser to download google chrome and Firefox
  • 10
    Is that official Microsoft account?! 😮
  • 16
    @Microsoft you just made my day.
  • 7
    @microsoft no @Apple safari in that comparison?
    I thought you were buddy buddy with them, or was that only until they lost Jobs? :p

    Anyhow, it's good to see your getting along with @Linux :)

    I can't see the labels on the dials, but look at the score and the dial positions. MS is almost at 'full', but with only 5% and 8% more 'full' respectfully.
    Doesn't really add up, does it?
  • 47
    This is typical @Microsoft support
  • 4
    @1nfiniteLoop Start label is 25 000, end label is 31 000.
  • 7
    So @billGates introduced @Microsoft to devRant niiice 😊
  • 4
    Make Edge for linux btw is it official MS account?@Microsoft
  • 2
    Reminds me of shitty y Axis scaling...
  • 9
    technically true it's faster if you render every page as blank
  • 2
    @Microsoft 😂😂😂.
    Man you damaged my inner parts of the laugh I had from your sudden response, to a point where im now installing windows on my machines, please for give me for my linuxial sinns.
  • 0
    devRant web blinks a lot on edge, try scrolling and you will go blind 😔
  • 2
    guys are you developers? you supposed to talk about real facts not about your feelings, here we go

    @linuxxx
    Sorry man 😭.
    I can always cheat with linux 😁
  • 9
    @Microsoft your comment got more upvotes than this rant :-D
  • 2
    @solooo7 Rightfully so

    I remember when I bought my laptop and they would have a webpage from microsofts website about how much faster edge was than chrome. They had a graph that was animated (the bars went from 0 to their respective amount), and it lagged on the animation on even the most powerful computers it had.

    it's funny when people hates a product, mainly because of the previous version (ie) , they cannot see anything good ... just check 3rd party benchmarks
  • 0
    @dontbeevil I gave it a chance but it's still not as good as Chrome or Firefox.
  • 0
    @nblackburn this is different from 3rd parties objective benchmarks results
  • 0
    @demiko exactly
  • 0
    @demiko nope, people here complains about benchamrks...and it's not true...on the other hand I'm using edge instead of ff without any problem, imho
  • 0
    @dontbeevil good for you, now move along or quit attacking anyone with a different opinion to yours.
  • 0
    @nblackburn personal opinion != benchmarks
  • 0
    @dontbeevil Were you making a point because i couldn't give less of a fuck about benchmarks when my experience with it was not the best (it still lags behind in support for standards).

    I know you will never understand that being a fanboy but that doesn't make me wrong.

    Experience can dictate performance.

    The point of this rant was the low blow marketing they keep doing which is pathetic at best and shady at worst.

    @nblackburn

    no this ad clearly says: faster than chrome and firefox accorindg to google benchmarks (it's even bold)

    it's of course much better than the misleading chrome advertising popup EVERY SINGLE TIME you visit ANY google service with any browser than chrome that just say: download chrome to surf the web easier, faster, better
    (automagically?)

    and nope, as developer you should know that now the lag support for web standards it's not so big, check html5test, html5accessibility... but I know you'll never understand that being a hater
  • 0
    @dontbeevil BAHAHAHAHAHA i am not a hater, i just have a clear conscious and cant stand fanboys.
  • 0
    @demiko Did I offend someone? sorry if I was just trying to show you that this are 3rd party benchmarks, in this case even from google LOL... not false advertising ... keep saying whatever you want
  • 0
    @dontbeevil If you did your research Octane 2.0 (the tool developed by Google for benchmarking) has been retired because it can be cheated.
  • 0
    @nblackburn so now you're saying that MS was cheating?

    what about all the websites that run octane to compare browsers benchmarks? did they cheat an most of tests (not only octane) in favour of edge? did ms pay them?

    did you try to run this benchmarks by yourself?
  • 0
    @dontbeevil Point me to where I said that you arrogant man.

    I said "can be cheated" meaning it's not the best source of truth plus when you get marketing people involved regardless of company then yeah...they will spin it to make them look better.
  • 1
    @demiko do you really think that Edge didn't improve already?
  • 1
    A test with a Google Deprecated Javascript test.

    So cool(?)
  • 1
    @eisterman you can check for all browsers benchmarks comparison online, or even try by yourself...cool no?
  • 0
    Speed score = 1/speed
  • 0
    @gitpush if that was legit I would be amazed!
  • 0
    This was probably only at the browser Special Olympics where everyone was handicapped.
  • 0
    @badcopnodonuts check search for browsers benchamrks comparison online and if you don'tbelive even them just execute the different benchmarks by yourself
  • 1
    @dontbeevil why do you care so much, it's completely unnecessary?
  • 0
    @nblackburn i care about truth, specially when the problems are old stereotypes... Things changes and in IT even fast... If you wants to stuck in old stereotypes feel free, not my problem, but don't tell to other people, they could believe you
  • 0
    @dontbeevil It's not old, what is old is the basis for this benchmark that can be played to their advantage.

    Browser vendors do it all the time by optimising areas to get higher scores. That is why they discontinued the suite.

    Gaming the suite to get high scores is not the truth...
  • 0
    @nblackburn for example in these 5 months ago benchamrks
    https://reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/...
    for Kraken Javascript and Motion Mark chrome won
    for Speedometer Vivaldi won
    for JetStream Edge won
    so you're saying that all these browser tweaked the browsers for these tests?
  • 1
    @dontbeevil I am saying they could NOT have. You have to remember these are benchmarks and not their real world performance.

    They are tested in parts very rarely as a whole unit.

    The heck
