ikdekker9437yBASIC! when I was ~9 I made a program in it, taking a name as input returning the color of the shirt that person of my family was wearing. And came back on visual basic a few years later because I loved that little tinkering so much.

An awful language and sadly sometimes I still have to use it.
I always die a bit inside whenever it rears it's ugly head again. -
Algol 60. And half you guys have probably never even heard of it... Showing my age :-(

devios157707yMicrosoft QuickBASIC on a Mac 512K. I used to write "adventure games" using exclusively GOTOs. 😂
But I absolutely loved it and went on to teach myself C, then C++, and then I went to school and had to learn Java. (We don't speak of those days.) -
@teadrinker Algol 60??? Shit man, much respect. And I thought I was the old guy here ;)

Or Basic if you count modifying a var in a Snake-a-like game when I was 7 to cheat -
@LynxMagnus I have to use it all the time. It's the only language you run anywhere on computers where people cannot anything more complex of pressing a button

Java.
Actually having to come back to it for the project I'm working on right now. -
Basic, C, C++. Decided to try all of them at the same time. I cried a lot that semester. (Edit, autocorrect)
