Fun fact at my last place of employment (sensitive data was stored) we had red cables attached to every server with sensitive data and I was told "if you get any email from <list of important people> saying to cut the cables with the code <insert top secret code here> and it's also a signed message from them cut all the red cables."

ryncops697y@gitlab is this common practice in companies or are you workin with the secret services?

kosio-t23917y@ryncops If his comment and devRant profile disappear maybe he was working for the NSA.

@devios1 well I am n/2 times faster with a knife than if I have to unplug each cable where n is the amount of cables.

I always wanted a big physical firewall which is a lever to disengage all external comms interfaces with my home.
Not specifically paranoid, a big lever would just be super cool. -
@Wallpaper I'm guessing that's a nickname for script kiddies I've not come across yet?

@kwilliams lol I agree, maybe it should crackle with electricity when you flip it too xD

@ryncops @just-basic-user @Jop- sorry for the rely late reply, We didn't just unplug them because the backs of the servers were against a wall (aka to long to get there) and tracing them wasn't always that easy (to many bundled wires) so the next easiest thing was cutting them. I did not work for any secret agencies or things like the NSA I worked for a private company that had important government contracts with the US Navy. If the cad design of what we made was ever stolen it could have compromised potentially US Navy ships.

kamar2517yThere is demand for secure WPA2. Until all devices get pathed this rant is extremely useful #KRACK
