Voxera115851yConsidering some of his other opinions outside of fashion that sounds a badge of honor for vscode :P

I guess we choose our battles 🤷♂️ - I will say tho if I see a dev using primarily vim they usually get a high level of respect from me and I will probably go to them for help

I'll never understand why some devs have holy wars about personal editor choice. I only care if your editor is so bad you end up committing utter shite.

yep, use vim and enjoy no syntax highlighting, no intuitiveness, and well, nothing actually
but hey you work at google so props to you -
retoor118911y@fullstackcircus vim has everything. Look at github vimide / nvim lunar / vim bootstrap. Autocomplete, env support, everything. But in vs code you have code optimization suggestions and stuff and a ready terminal at bottom running stuff. I prefer vs code too

What do other IDEs have that jetbrains don't?
What's so bad about paying for good tools?
Am all for open source but if they're that good why not?
It's not like we're carpenter 🪚 having to pay for the wood we use -
C0D4681451yEh, when the dev tools for a particular SaaS are only available in vsCode or Eclipse, I can let you guess which one is more of a defeat,

@AleCx04 let’s all agree that using a certain IDE makes us “failures”. Let’s bow to our neck bearded overlords with our monkey brains. Btw how many tabs do you use to indent your code? I’m a typical elitist coding bitch. I’m currently working on my newest language, jediscript

Voxera115851y@fullstackcircus vim does have syntax highlighting and a pretty good one to.
But I only use it when I meed to do work directly on a server, otherwise I use VS or VSCode or possibly notepad ++
