When my friend said the note 7 is the bomb, I didn't know he meant it literally.

The note 7 fiasco makes me very thankful to be working on software for internal applications. I introduce a bug, and there's an obnoxious error dialog a user needs to click out of. Samsung introduces a bug and phones start exploding.

I have been developing something for 3 weeks now which has been sold to a customer for a lot of money last year, next to no specification on what it should do, got the spec 3 weeks ago, is being installed in a couple of weeks and I have no idea how to get it working!
I have tried about 5 different concepts now and they all start to look good until 1 of the many factors change then kaboom.

Well on my last full-time job, that ware using cookies for authentication (not something new, eh?). The thing is, you see, the cookies had the 'accountId' which if you change to another number, kaboom you're that account, oh but that was not all, there was an option to mark the account type in there 'accountType', which was kind of obvious in VLE (virtual learning environment), 'Teacher', 'Student', 'Manager' put what of those values and boom you are that role for the session

Thing was open of SQL injection from the login form, from said cookies and form every part you can pass input to it, when I raised the question to my TL he said 'no one is going to know about thatt, I don't see what is the problem', then escalated to higher management 'oh well speak to *tl_guy*'

Oh and bonus points for it being written in ASP CLASSIC in 2014+ (I was supposed to rewrite, but ended up patching ASP code and writing components in PHP)

After getting a new hard drive late at night bcoz my old one went kaboom, I put it in the case, wired it up but it wouldn't work, I tried connecting it to different SATA ports with different cables etc.. This went for 20 minutes and then I realized that the drive wouldn't even start spinning, then I discovered I hadn't connected it to the PSU. Fuck my life and fuck my retardeness.

Lucky I did not buy the galaxy note 7 yet, don't want a kaboom in my face 😱

Its funny whenever i see an apple fanboy use the note 7 as a reason to switch. A few iPhones in the past exploded too.
