Just saw a recruitment post for a female speaker to join a female panel at a "women in tech" event. And it's by an organisation called "codelikeagirl". 😒

As a female developer, it gives me the upmost cringe to hear about any #women or #girlpower events. Do you really need to validate your ability and support because of your gender? Men don't go to #menInTech events, so why do you need to go #womenInTech events?

On the surface it seems all friendly and gender equality fluff. But if you segregate yourselves into an all exclusive group, isn't that the opposite of what your trying to "achieve"?

Coding is not the solution to unemployment or gender inequality... This what the MF don't understand.... Until you create a better Sys and population is controlled and there is cultural evaluation. - you MF are just running a circus show.

Every MF want to jump into the bandwagon of cheap CSR - "hey we are empowering people by teaching people how to develop a website , aren't we good peopLE 😊"
Lol like programming is fucking open source, you don't need to teach people, anyone interested can learn it , and they are billion FREE RESOURCES out here for them to learn, so why not just fucking focus on doing something significant than clowning around "become a dev ".

This is a rundown of my day.

Today I had the immense pleasure to continue implementing an web table with server side paging, filters and sorts, and to persist all those values in the url query strings.
Thank fucking god for vue.

And just before sleep, I inflated like 40 balloons for a bday tomorrow and I didn't have an inflator, so let me say this.

FUCK BALLOONS. The brand of these motherfuckers was horrible.
I hate it that they all come with this fucking dust in the bag.

Isn't it curious how bitch is like a very powerful insult in the sense that it's very funny but also very validating.
Like you could say that in the middle of argument against a woman and actually win it.

But sadly women don't have an insult against men of which make use, so it's very unfair in my opinion.

In fact there are so many female targeted insults that you kinda feel untouchable as a guy.

Except if a woman insults the size of your dick. That is a fucking tomahawk missile.

Anyhow, not making any type of gender inequality analysis or whatever, I just thought it was a peculiar observation.

Even bigger anyhow , I'm not good at inflating balloons, I'm a web dev, what did you expect? That I could have basic ordinary skills in life.

Helloooo, I said I am a WEB... DEVELOPER.
It's a fucking miracle I am able to complete basic day to day tasks necessary to live.

I live in a place where there is very low discrimination, and even if people make rasist, or sexist, or possibly discriminating remarks, 90% of the time they are just shrugged of or laughed at by the "offended" party.

Then I read stuff from around the world and I am just amazed by the lack of tolerance the rest of the world seams to have.

Like getting offended by people stating any little, insignificant, unrelated thing...even to the point of legal action...

Why are people so easly offended? I get history and past repressions and inequality, but in most cases these reactions are just tantrums or just being a pussy (no matter the actual gender).
