Years ago, when I was a young developer, I was asked to design and implement a complex but usefull feature. It took me some time, but I was really proud of my creation. It passed all the tests and was approved for production deployment. However, while the code was deployed, the customer asked for it to remain disabled for a while.

Months passed, other features were added often breaking the one I created. But I was relentless. I've fixed it every time. I've kept it ready for great launch...

After a few years, when I was already working on a different project, I received an email about my feature. It turned out that everyone simply forgot about it. You might expect that it was finally turned on... Nope, that email was a kind request to remove that feature from code.

Today I figured out how to remotely control my student's computers and how to send them messages when they're not doing the right thing

unpopular opinion: I love Windows 10

Not a rant....

I received an email today from a client that reads "I'm so anxious to pay you. This is the best money I've spent on my website."

The day I feel like playing Guitar Hero

Me in front of an year old code snippet:

1) "omg, wtf did i write that time?"

2) "i'm going to fix it"

3) after 2 hours lost trying to get new code working... reset from git

4) look around feeling guilty

3 days of debug, just resolved commenting 2 lines of code. Great.

I love when people who still use Windows 95 style on their desktop give me advice about my mockup design.

Why is it that everytime, as a back-end developer, I want to dive into a simple front-end topic or technique which can perfectly be done in plain JavaScript, I need 27 different libraries and packages according to nearly all tutorials..

It really crushes my motivation and is just ridiculous.
