One of my friends works in NVIDIA and slwas previously a part of the graphics department where she worked on the rtx 3070 and briefly on 3080 card. The funny thing is she gets paid very low (SDE in India) and sadly her monthly salary is less than the price of either of the cards. While she is not keen on gaming, some of her mates are in a similar situation and just dream about buying it.
All I wanted to do was point out the irony wherein people who help make the thing themselves cant afford it.64
Does anyone else here hate people who use numpy panda and tensorflow and call themselves data scientists ??
Cuz I hate 'em. There are so many researchers who work day and night to figure out the math and algos which go into these libraries. These researchers are real data scientists.
If computerss sciemce would have been a religion, then just using these stupid libraries and claiming you are a data scientist would be blasphemy.7
Why do recruiters say you need 5 years of experience for a certain framework when the framework was released 2 fucking years ago. Don't they consult with engineers what they want or do they just think of a random fucking number and write it down. And why do they think the OOPs concepts are totally different for all programming languages?? Also the job descriptions are usually very vague and ambiguous.
JD for SDET: you will work with engineers and help build scalable solutions bla bla
JD for SDE: you will work to build scalable solutions bla bla
Is this deliberately done so that a poor candidate wastes his or her time applying for a wrong position or even giving an interview??4
I am using flutter in my office right now to develop a cross platform app. Flutter is great and everything but there is just one issue. WHY ARE FLUTTER UPDATES SO DEVASTATING?? Latest flutter 1.22 takes in dart 2.10 ehich replaces @reuired with anew keyword required. What the hell!!! And also every var is now by default null safe. Whyyyy??? I was just trying to adjust to the update made in 1.12. oh and btw it went from 1.12 to 1.22 stable in just 6 months.5
The story of how I stumbled onto devrant:
Not long ago I was struggling with visual studio and did not know what to think, do or say. The only thing I wanted to do was scream while I banged my laptop against the wall. Just before doing that I googled "fuck Vs fuck Microsoft" and I was introduced to devrant. Something about reading the rqnts of frustrated developers made me calm (It also made me laugh). So what I really want to say is: thank you devrant for saving my money.3
Why do big companies hire such loser engineers ??? I mean what the hell man. When you are hiring a fresher to code they should at least know how to apply/write a for loop. I once had a colleague who assigned each array element individually instead of writing a for loop and asked me why I refused to approve his stupid code. What do I reply to this ? It was so dumb, I could not articulate an answer.14
Never trouble me when I am codong on bisual studio in windows. I will bash your head into my desk.
You read it roght, INTO my desk!5
