Finally got a working hackintosh setup except that it says I only have 7MB of vram. I'm starting to see why developers just buy the Mac and burn the cash 😑

Anyone else get really infuriated when Flutter keeps deploying an old version of your code!? It drives me absolutely nuts and I wish to kick Flutter in the non-existing balls!

So I'm working on a project that relies on Google apis specifically Maps. What I just found out blew my mind. The company that writes documents about how you should return correct status codes doesn't return correct status codes. If I send a request with a proper API key, I get a 200 okay back. If I send a request with an invalid API key, I also get it 200 okay back

Me: Explain

Her: Why do we need that? I don't see a purpose

Work at a pro Microsoft company.

CEO wants an app so I explain that we will need a Mac to build the apple version of the apps. Refuses to buy us a Mac. For two years this goes on. Out of nowhere a new employee asks for the same Mac and the CEO goes out and buys $2000 without even thinking. We fought to the nail for a Mac for two years so we could do our job...they get one just for being new. My entire team feels completely insulted and betrayed

You know what really grinds my gears?

When the CTO inserts himself into your development workflow even though he hasn't programed, let alone touched the keyboard in about 40 years.

Waterfall.

I string dislike the waterfall methodology and much prefer agile or scrum. And it's incredibly difficult that upper management only understands waterfall while claiming to know agile.

Meanwhile they want things completed by deadlines that are only possible with an agile approach. So you have a mishmash of upper management running waterfall with impossible deadlines and developers trying to meet those deadlines running in agile.

Anyone else have this problem?
