I know the hate for Facebook is strong here, but I was just approached to work on their eCrimes team... Catching online predators and the like... I'm honestly considering it, given how much evidence is posted. But it requires so much more programming knowledge than I have... I don't know where to start...

    I hate facebook but a job is a job. I don't get how come you have to learn more programing though, sounds like the hardest part would be tracking ips and getting court orders for vpns. Well unless they are trying to automate it

    Join them and make the web safer! There's no better place than from the inside.

    I interviewed with them a year or so ago, but I wound up declining further discussion because I would have had to move to the Bay Area. No thank you.

    If the location works for you though, go for it!

    Be VERY sure you are prepared to cry yourself to sleep on a semi-regular basis before you take a job like that, or it will destroy you!

    @AlexDeLarge I was in Germany for a bit over summer when I was 16. Was amazing!

    If I'm remembering German school structure, I went to Gymnasium, not Hoch Schule

    @QueenMorgana your german is as good as mine or even better. But currently Im focussing on learning Kölns dialect

    Öchers platt is impossible for me to understand even though germans say its the closest dialect to dutch. And Im a dutch native speaker.
