Just call him, before it might be too late
Otherwise you might regret not trying it for a long time -
Just call him up and say why you rejected the offer at first. Then he will say "thats no problem, knowledge will be taught and introverted people can still communicate and we offer training for that."

bahua128015yExactly what the two comments before mine said. Just call him and explain what was going through your head. Ask him for some details about the position, and how much time he needs for a response. At the very least, give yourself 24 hours with the information before making a final decision.

C0D4669025yWtf!!!
Get the hell on that phone, dude I would work there for free just to have "NASA" on my cv 😂 -
In any human engagement you are just 2 people having a talk. Don't put others on pedestals. Show respect though. To everyone. Cannot remember which book I got that out of.

I use to be a contractor at NASA for several years. Did alot of cool stuff, but in the end there was alot of buearacracy and useless work. May have just been the part I was in, but still I am glad I got the opportunity...but honestly I enjoy the "business" world much more.
I think you will regret passing up this opportunity though. -
Get your ass to the phone RIGHT NOW, call that good lad who offered you the job and say that after having some time to think you've changed your mind. Do It! NOW!! Or I I'll find you and beat the hell outta you untill you tell me where to find that man so that I'd get that position!

No need to explain! It doesn’t matter why just communicate with him that you are interested.
It sounds like calling would give your anxiety so do it electronically.
Please let us know. -
Just a update, I quit being a little pussy and called him day after this rant.
Sent him my resume, waiting to hear back from the hiring manager.
Related Rants
Just declined a small internship to work at NASA because I feel like I’m too introverted and incapable of doing it (knowledge wise).
It was a unexpected offer in person and I wasn’t prepared for it, so instead of saying “I’ll let you know” I outright declined it.
Feeling extraordinarily defeated over my answer. Any hope of recovering from the situation? It might seem like a simple task to call the guy and let him know I changed my mind, but the thought of doing so seems extremely scary for me.
As a side note, he is a family “friend” and a customer of the business I currently work at (where he offered it to me) (unrelated field of work)
