It's got to be pdf right?

and the creature of a company responsible for this is...?

@C0D4 yes, you can use pdf as native Adobe Illustrator file format for vector drawings.

Pro tipp: Save vector logos as pdf and svg. That way marketing folks get always the best picture quality and don't need special software to use it in eg. Microsoft Office. And you can skip for the most part the export of png and .ai / .eps.

    @heyheni I know that ๐Ÿ˜‚

I too have never used a computer before

I don't think any of you understand the question. It asks in which listed file format (png, mov, pdf) it is better to use vector graphics (like svg), Of course the answer is PDF.

PDF, for iOS we only use PDF for vector images.
  • 2
@netikras nothing is wrong with it. Its just pixel-based and not vector-based
  • 1
@bioDan damn.. and I always thought png can contain vectors - that being the reason why zooming some PNGs does not degrade pic quality.

How to read a question101: read first then complain.
    Question is perfectly fine.

I think it means, when you are making a pdf, you should use vector graphics, but not when you are making a mov or a png

    LMAO WTF

@netikras Good old Macromedia Fireworks stored vector information in the PNG metadata, so you could use them as plain PNGs (very heavy PNGs) but still open them back in Fireworks and edit them.

@ethernetzero Macromedia Flash did that too ๐Ÿ˜

Only reading this now does the question actually make sense... It's poorly fucking worded but actually makes sense

    What is vector?
  • 0
    svg anyone?

    but seriously, it depends...

when you want to print it, use pdf or something the folks who print can use without having to install additional software.

png is fine too, if you don't want to keep the vectors, but want pixels instead...
