Yes! It will if you are an iOS developer who fucks with xCode everyday.

Let me tell you the story of my day with the brand new MacBook Pro.

I wanted to build my application for iOS 13. For that I should have the latest xCode latest version. For the latest xCode version to work I should have the latest OS.

It took a long fucking time for downloading the latest OS dmg file. And for the fuck sake I was not able to install the same as the file vault was being encrypted.

That fucking encryption thing took half a day. And then I installed the OS. Then, I waited for a long time while the pile of shit(xCode) was downloading.

Then I installed xCode too. And now you know what the day ends and it's time to fucking sleep.

got a new macbookpro with my new job. awesome. but no usb port so i need a dongle to use my good mouse.
my solution: pickup the dongle myself from down the street and expense it
company solution: order it through complicated website, wait for 3 people to approve it, and wait 4+ weeks for it to come in (still waiting)

I know lots of you like to shit on Apple. Generally I'm with you.. but I need to share something with you.

My Mid-2009 MacBookPro is still kicking.
Sure, over the years I've changed it to SSD, maximized the ram and changed the thermal gel.. although it sounds more like a jet plane than a notebook, it runs latest OS X (not macOS 🙄) and is still great for web development in 2017.
I mean it really runs pretty good for a 8+ years old machine. It really does.

But fuck no I ain't paying Apple ever again. I know FOR SURE once this piece of heavenly garbage is officially dead I'm getting myself a (most probably refurbished) ThinkPad.

Why is it whenever I'm on a conf call I slide off backspace and mute myself on the stupid MBP TouchBar? Subliminal sabotage 😂

Was just doing 'work from home from hometown' since end of last month...

Using a Macbook Pro since couple of years now, it was such pleasure using it for developement!!

And suddenly the damn thing start to not like the humid climate here. Thing just don't turn on until it's like 10.30am and the humidity lowers a bit, since last few days.
No key combinations would help anymore!

Guessing I'll have to blow it dry from here on!!! Humidity doesn't know about the standup meeting, the damn aluminium piece of shit should!! Hope the goddamn thing won't suddenly give up on me forever during these sick times... :(

Never seen this kind of shit happening to a non-macbook!! Such marvelous things of design -- my ass!!

My MacbookPro won't shutdown fully. Also while on sleep mode, my apps automatically gets closed for auto shutdown (which will be prevented by iTerm's dialogue box for session saving).

I tried clearing SMC & PRAM multiple times now.

Am from southern India and the temperature here varies between 28 - 35. And my usage is heavy - approx. 13+hrs a day. 'Pro' is meant for heavy usage right?

And I dont usually shutdown my MBP I simply closes the lid, is that a problem? Have you guys experienced such an issue? If so, how do you overcome?

Am concerned about it, gimme ur usage patterns / tips to solve this..

I am in college right now and want a lightweight long-battery life laptop. Thinking of buyin MacbookPro 13inch 128gb w/o touch bar. Anu suggestions?
