I realized why do i like java the most. Error messages are easy to read and consistent. Never really had to look up an error because the message tells you exactly what is wrong. Hell, you could write a script to self-repair the errors because they are so obvious to fix.

Now compare that to my current stack, python and js....

At least they have a bit of humor with it...

Was in the barbers having my hair cut and the barber was talking about how hard drives are obsolete as everything is moving into the cloud! Blew his mind when I explained the cloud is just computers and hard drives!

Found out they all went on a 2 day course to learn SCRUM...

I have just landed my dream job. Coming from a background of java and python, I applied for a C++ heavy company... The interview process was centred on algorithms and I passed it. Now I get to learn the language I have always wanted to learn from pretty hardcore devs while I am getting paid. One of the best fucking days of the 21 years I have been alive for.

LF: It takes too much time to start, I don't have that much time..
*continues staring at his screen and using his mind debugger*

It's kinda funny when he just sits and stares at his screen after saying that he doesn't have any time..

It took way less time to find the (a?) bug when he finally used the debugger..

So my story has some little backstory.

I got into computers and technology because of my dad. He was very enthusiastic when I was little and when I grew older and started my apprenticeship as a software developer he was really proud. Note that he never learned anything like that. He just loved computers and games.

Now to the story itself.
I learned more and more, also about networking and came to the conclusion that our slow internet and rare internet problems probably come from stock/weird configurations. But my dads proud probably told him thats a thing he still has to do as the dad. But it annoyed me so much that I booted into kali linux, loaded an exploit to get the web admin passwort and cracked it within a minute. 😎

Finally I was able to configure everything correctly ( channels were spammed from neighbours so I switched to very unused and the disturbions got less ).

TL;DR: Dad didnt want me to configure our router and didnt give me the admin password, so I booted Kali Linux and used an exploit to get it myself 😎😎

Had a customer on the phone who couldn't figure something out. Wanted to give him instructions so I asked him whether he used mac or windows (getting used to not including Linux in that question). His reply: uhm this has a weird name... do you know elementary os?

Me: you're a Linux user?!
Him: yes, I'm done with windows and mac.

Then i gave him the instructions. Nice twist of the day!
