About a decade ago there was a torrent site for audiobooks audiobookbay I think?, if you forgot your password to your username they would literally just give you a new password on the next page. Naturally being a 1337H4X0R teenager I found the username of one of the admins and got into their account on the site. I don't know if they ever fixed that but that was a serious wtf moment.

Edit: just checked this flaw has not been patched.

Does anyone know of any good audio book sites besides audible? Free ones are good too, of course, but I don't mind paying for them.

Likewise for a good player, since books aren't music.

Finished side project last month. It was hell of a ride, about 300-350 hours of programming and solving problems per month for over half a year, including my regular remote job.

Side project was 1 hour commute time from my house.

There were days where I was working over 16 hours per day.

During this roller coaster I also changed my diet to keto and lost about 12kg / 26 lbs.
Kept my regular remote job where I am the only backend developer.
Donated to eff.
Started listen to audiobooks and exercise to keep my mind clear and focused.
Finally I discovered devrant.

It was all crazy shit and I feel happy I did it because now 5 days after I finished this side project I started to think that my life is not so fucked up I thought it is. This gave me my confidence back.

Now it’s time to rest before some new crazy shit would hit my life.

Apparently storytell is removing some audiobooks 17th of January 9 of them I have in pending state. Most of them are 12h books. Fuck my life.

Im looking for audiobooks i can listen to on my way to work. About 40mins per ride. Preferably anything that has to do with personal development or other insightfull/ skill enhancing books.

Since I don't commute to work since last year I don't really know how to consume those podcasts and audiobooks I care, I cannot listen to them while I work. If you encounter this problem, how did you solve it?

I wanted to add some old audiobooks I have in mp3 format to my wife's Iphone...
Ok, connect it to the computer. No direct file transfer. Start iTunes...updates... Import library..ok.. it's imported locally but sync then???
Sync purchases.. no
Mark stuff and move.. no way (got it playing in chrome somehow when trying to unmark everything)
Got to "buy stuff now page".. close it iTunes.. start it again and come back to same page..
Then I.. shamefuly Google "transfered audiobook iPhone" and got all the pages how to sync when you already bought items from appstore...

Eventually I transfered the files folder by folder. There is probably a better way to do this but I were at the ends of my rope so I archive this as a narrow win.

so continuing with my dilemma about audible media and consuming that in a world where I don't commute to work anymore, I will take the advices from the comments on my previous post. Also, Audible warned that my 7 credits may expire soon so decided to get more audiobooks (see screenshot)
