This was at a hackathon which my study organises yearly. It's a 24 hours challenge and you've got to work in teams. It's always from 12 (noon) to 12 (noon the other day).

Another group of programmers was pulling their hair out because of their code not working, it kept crashing and they didn't see it after more than an hour (half of the team had difficulties with keeping their eyes open and it was about 3-4am so we were already programming nearly non stop for about 15-16 hours).

Walked by and offered to take a look:
 "YES PLEASE FUCKING HELP"

Took a look and about two seconds later:
"oh you're missing a hashtag there *points*"

All programmers at once: MOTHERFUCKER! (or in Dutch: GODVERDOMME!) (motherfucker contextualizes the situation better imo)

I think I made their entire hackathon at that moment 😊25

PSA: An exclamation point is not devRant's version of a hashtag. It means 'not,' as in != means 'not equals.' So when you type '!rant' and it's a rant, you're creating a theoretical assertion error.

Let's all do our part to keep devRant theoretical error free! 👍😁 *Cheesy music*10

Little Sister: Why is the hashtag in the wrong place?

 Me: Kid, that's not a hashtag. That is a sharp. C - sharp.4

Working from home is still not without its challenges. I’ve been doing it for 6 years. Today I solved the dilemma of how my wife can book her own events where I’m needed to watch the kids during the day. A simple hashtag in the calendar description and an IFTTT recipe now adds a “Busy” block to my work calendar.

					Hashtag my_favorite_student.
Same person. No long story today.

–You know it's so frustrating when you can't find an assignment on your usb stick but you know it's there.

I took a look. It's not in any of three empty folders.

–But I know it's there, okay, I guess I'll just ask another tutor to find it tomorrow.

This was a one day project :
I created an app that would directly read feeds about our travel website when they hashtag about their experiences on twitter ,and automated it to pass it through a very minimal machine level algorithm to identify the sentiment of the tweet. (Good ,bad and neutral). The analyzer was about 40 percent accurate, but it did better with training the keywords. This not only helped the Global Communications perform better at their work, but were able to close out most of the issues on a day to day basis.4

Just wondering how many of us are excited about a hacker conference in Himalayas.
Not sure if I can post an invite here, but people interested can check the hashtag or ask me for details.

A single typo costing me US$280,000 was beyond my imaginations, but even the most minute errors could have apocalyptic consequences in crypto.
It all began with my trying to restore my Bitcoin wallet. I had properly backed up the seed phrase-so I thought-but when the time came to restore my wallet, it didn't work. Nothing worked. I started to be desperate, checking and double-checking my phrases. Where did I go wrong? After hours of frustration, it hit me—I had made a tiny mistake while writing down my seed phrase. A single misplaced character was now standing between me and my $280,000 in Bitcoin.
Panic. I looked online, then saw the trending hashtag on Twitter #CryptoRecoverySuccess; out of curiosity, I clicked on it and story after story came out-people who lost access to wallets, got their funds back thanks to Tech Cyber Force Recovery. The reviews were overwhelmingly so positive I reached out immediately. From the very first message, their team was composed, professional, and super reassuring; they explained to me how even minor typos in a seed phrase could make a wallet completely unreachable but not with the right tools and expertise. I gave them all the information I had, and their team got down to work. The hours turned into days, and my anxiety climbed to an all-time high. But then came the miracle. They cracked it. Tech Cyber Force Recovery found my error, corrected the typo, and restored my wallet in record time. Seeing my Bitcoin balance show up once more was just pure relief and gratitude.
They didn't just recover my funds; they taught me how to back up my wallet properly, avoid mistakes, and secure my assets against future mishaps.
I now quadruple-check every single little detail and tell everyone I know: If you ever lock yourself out of your crypto, then Tech Cyber Force Recovery is the lifeline one needs.
The#CryptoRecoverySuccess hashtag wasn't just some hype, it saved me.
