Took me a few hours, but managed to finally run Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 on my old school Toshiba laptop running Arch Linux xD Still needs some work, but super happy I got it running :D

The three open source apps I prefer over "closed" ones. And that not because they're Open Source but because they are free and awesome.
GIMP2 & Blender & Audacity.
Fuck all the alternatives.
Photoshop & C4D (CC ~800€/y),
Maya & 3dsMax (each ~2000€/y),
Magix with their 100 different shitass software,

Little news for fellow Linux users and Windows users who want to switch.
WINE 3.0 has been released recently and I haven't seen anyone mention it here so I thought I'd share. It features support for Direct3D 11.

I just tried to download Photoshop CC. On Linux. Just to give it a try in Wine 3.0 and see if it works.
Adobe rejected my humble request with "Your operating system is not supported."
Ok.
I switched my user-agent to Windows and voila, it tried to give me a dmg installer.
A. Fucking. Mac. Installer.

Long standing PhotoShop bug in Wine FIXED! It's stated that it was for CS5, but I've heard one report that it's also fixed a CC version, but not sure if it was the latest CC or not. I don't miss much from Windows, but the Adobe workflow is one thing I do miss. Possibly the ONLY thing I miss at this point. https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cg...
