I've spent a weekend running high and naked through the forest, and decided to quit my job.
Fuck PHP. Fuck Laravel. Fuck hipster startup companies. Rasmus Lerdorf, Taylor Otwell and my CEO can all go suck each other's cocks in a sloppy mess of saliva, cum and type errors.
I'm so sick of spinach smoothies and weakly typed languages. All active record ORMs are retarded, VueJS is worse than JQuery, Fatal error: Call to a member function iHatePHP() on null. WHY DOES PHP EVEN HAVE METAPROGAMMING METHODS, WHY THE FUCK DOES LARAVEL CHOOSE EASY OVER SAFE.
I'm going to use my heavily abused Macbook to surf out of this mess, on a collapsing wave of unresolved bugs.
On to the next PHP/Laravel job at a hipster startup!26 -
So at the beginning there was assembly.
But people wanted something more highlevel, so C was born.
But writing big projects was a pain so C++ was invented.
But then the web started to become more popular and C++ wasn‘t really good at that, so Rasmus Lerdorf created PHP.
And then everything moved to the client and should be loaded dynamically for better UX, so everyone writes JS.
But JS doesn‘t have a good performance, so people created web assembly compiled from C...
Am i the only one who sees the irony in this?7 -
At this point i'd like to talk about the original PHP founder Rasmus Lerdorf, who was obviously too distracted by his own beard while watching the NBA Playoffs in 1995 to write a proper language.
There's not a language more inconsistent, ilogical, deficient, and best of all, bad structured.
Seriously, which substances was he smoking when thinking up such things as: non objective strings, incasesensitive functions and associative arrays?
What have objects ever done? any other honorable language does that, python, javascript, rails, C#, take your pick.
Not to mention the order of needle/haystack parameters.4 -

I didn't know PHP was created as a "template language" and Rasmus Lerdorf(PHP's creator) himself rejected PHP to be a "business logic language" at first. But PHP 7 Freaking rules!4 -
A very good talk about php from the creator of php. I like it how he self never thought that php will grow that big. He always thought that php has 6 months left before a better Technologie comes that replace php completle.
