I right now work as a Remote Front end dev and I must admit is pretty sweet and flexible, however, I think my ideal job would be in a foreign country (Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong) with the same remote flexibility but with a Visa sponsorship, Working on modern web projects, progressive web apps etc. learning from others and improving my code. please let me know of any opportunity haha.1

Maybe I don't know, or don't understand what "Front end" actually means, many companies ask for a "Front end developer" and then I see their requirements, and wow, I think a lot of them are just one "step" away of being a Full Stack Dev position.

Do you guys know some sites with weekly or daily interesting Web development/Front End/UX articles/resources to read/get?
I often get them from tympanus/collective but its always good to know more -
I'm turning 28 this year and I still feel I got a really really long way ahead in understanding Javascript and all the new web app building technologies happening.
Feeling a little frustrated for not learning faster and getting kind a stuck, I'm not getting any younger.11 -
So two guys at the company I work for just quitted, We were 4 in the "dev" department, 2 front end and 2 back end, now we're just 1 front and 1 back, should I try to get a raise?? I've been working steady for 8 months now.4

Not following the front end "standards" of the company I work for ( Sass variables, Methods, CSS frameworks, mixins, etc.) even though we had a meeting talking about following standards to improve the workflow a day before.2

I'm looking for some Remote work to do as freelance or "startup", low pay is alright if there is not too much pressure. I'm a Front end developer who's trying to actually apply some of my React knowledge, maybe someone can take me "under his/her wing" :) , HTML, CSS and Javascript (jQuery) are no problem. If anyone has any pointers or recommendations, I'd appreciate it. Thanks2

So "design" keeps sending me unfinished and unpolished mockups, I end up erasing what I got already done, and start over; Fun times yay.2 -
I guess my story is not really cool, but okay, I lost my job as a Digital designer (Yeah, I actually have a bachelor's degree in graphic design, I'm an impostor)
I lost it because I saved enough money to travel to Japan and I wanted to stay at least a month so the company didn't like it. after coming back I got a job as a content editor, I just copied old content from an old website to a new one, basic html and css, not even responsive design, then I got really into it, and bootstrap came along, the company opened a new department "Front End" so I got in, I learnt responsive design and Jquery, really loved it, I went back to Japan for a month and a half, keeping my job, I liked it, but I quit.
I now work as a remote front end and I feel stuck, I'm very comfortable as remote, don't wanna go back to an office, but it seems I'll have to, can't find any opportunities to improve remotely, and I feel like I'm missing what the "cool kids" are doing.4 -
Hello @Everyone! , this is my first rant.
I feel very related to a lot of stuff going on here, thought nobody shared my ideas, but I was wrong!
