Being a backed developer is like being a spy. You are only known by your failures. You will never get to know a good backed developer or a good spy.

An intern came to us with a build issue, it was very difficult to pin point the cause of issue as there were many modified files in the project. So to figure out the cause one guy git stashed lot of fiiles. Now, intern being not aware of the git stash command thought that all his changes are deleted. The way he freaked out thinking all his changes were lost was amazing. Also other people jumped on the bandwagon, and started questioning the developer that how can you delete the changes of an intern. It went like this for 10 min and finally we told the intern that his changes are safe.

Stop lying to yourself.

Was watching a traditional pottery show. Just realized how amazing the hand made pots are, but with decreasing sales seems like this art is gonna die soon. Now with so many languages and frameworks popping like anything, just waiting for myself to get obsolete.

While changing a pathetically written code, a thought came to my mind that like doctors we should also have a licence system for software engineers... And all the engineers who wrote such shitty code should be banned from the profession for life.,👾

Changing a job is like adopting a new religion.

Without getting distracted by internet while coding seriously is almost like mastering meditation.

It happened to one of my friend at work place.

So my friend is a UI developer and was working on a super critical project with very tight deadline. He was waiting for design team to give him mocks and web api team for giving Apis, so he can start his work. Now there are 4 days left for deadline and none of the parties are ready with their work, and my friend is sitting idle. Management is getting anxious day by day. So one program management lady called him the weak link in the standup meeting and started putting blame on him for the delay in the project. Guy tried to explain that it's not his fault and he is stuck. But that lady was not in a mood to listen.

Now come the next day, in morning he got the design ready and complete Apis from other teams. That day he missed the standup meeting, worked whole night and completed the work with two days remaining for deadline. He went to standup meeting after completing the work, and when the turn came for him to give his status, he started with "the weak link has finished the work". There was a pin drop silent in the room. He continued to give his update like this for next couple of days. And finally that lady was forced to apologize in meeting room by him.

Went for an interview today. Guy asked me to write chess and gave me a pen and a single blank page. Wondering what does he mean by that, he said start and we will see. Still confused what i am suppose to write, told him it will require way more than one paper to write chess. His response you are not interested in coding. I was like what the hell is going on. After 5 minutes, HR came and told me I can leave for the day.
