My laptop is a useless piece of shit when it isn't plugged. All I want is a slim box that I could bring almost everywhere I go! How long do your laptops' batteries last?

My Surface Book usually lasts more than 8 hours unless I'm playing games on it. The HP pro book I have for work will maybe make it 4 hours if I'm lucky.

I've got an HP Envy. For the most part it pulls 6 to 8 hours

    I have a Razer Blade (14"). Kickass 7th Gen quad-core and NVIDIA 1060.
I only use the beefiness for compiling and cuda/cudnn, so the rest of the time I want good battery life.

So I undervolted CPU and GPU, put the Intel on to low power mode, the NVIDIA doesn't switch on if I don't need it (Optimus/automatic). Guess what? 12 hour battery life with brightness on 20%.

It is super slim (thinner/lighter than MBP) and charges with a 150W pack or just a 100W USB-C if you want. Thunderbolt 3 allows an external gpu as well.

Very nice device and money well spent I reckon.

I use my laptop at home mainly and have found the quickest way to permanently kill the battery is to have it constantly plugged in, which is why on the go I get about 90 minutes. Options are to replace the battery and only plug it in to charge. Lesson lerant.

XPS 9560 with the 97whr battery. I get at least 8 hrs usually around 9 or 10. This is with working and browsing mode. I usually go full brightness on my FHD screen. Might undervolt the CPU for even longer battery 😁

I have a HP pavilion whose battery life is great. But its very heavy(2.5kg) so its difficult for me to carry it around.

@marthulu Similar here. 3-4 hours. Cheapo Potato Laptop. But its better than none, and i dont often take it elsewhere... So i guess im okay with that. And the Charger is small enough to take along should i take it anywhere.

10+ hours if I’m not doing anything much (i.e. browsing web, listening to music); 6-8 hours if I’m working

    Computer: 15” late 2016 MBP

Disclaimer: I usually have it set to 100% brightness so that kinda affects the battery life

Dell Inspiron 15, around 7 hours, 9 if I go full on eco with myself

My old Toshiba, ~3 seconds, I turned its battery to shit. My new Lenovo flex 4, gets 5-6 hours, pretty good.

Well, my battery died one day in high-school, so now its battery life is around 20 minutes lol.
Gotta love MSI, they wouldn't fix it even if it was under warranty. 🙄
