There are 6 stages of an man's live that he wish for
1. Child phase and school phase : don't know what it was, can't remember mine
2. Teenage phase : study, exploring new areas, competition, body building, getting into relationships , breakups, dreaming, etc
3. Ambitious phase : getting graduate, changing jobs , lust for money, tensions, parties, ambitions, cars ,new houses , marriage, honeymoons and kids
4. Family settled phase : permanent job, nice salary, long family trips , fun time with kids, paid holidays, hardworking phase
5. No tensions settled phase : children getting graduate, marrying, trying to settle themselves, you and your wife having enough money or pension to live peacefully, you are playing golf with friends, doing excersize nd charity regularly, etc
6. Permanently settled phase : lie peacefully in your death bed and wait for eyes to close in sleep forever

I was reading about public and private keys yesterday, and i had a thought: don't you think the concept of "username" is being so badly misused?
It can act as a great firewall, but we are just misusing it as an alternative to "login via email", because we are now so dumb to remember our email.
You might think of my rant as being going back in time, but think about this: my profile shows the name titanlannister. if someone got access to my password, he/she can immediately take over my complete identity because devrant allows us to login via username/password combo.
Now think of this: my username shows titanlannister. Anyone of you can write a post and mention me via @titanlannister, and this system will notify me. However even if you get my password, you are unable to hack into my profile, because my profile is only accessible via my email id/password combo, which you still don't know.
This, I would call as Platform Public Key which adds a kind of semi firewall over default public/private key combination .

(Disclaimer: Don't think am being racist or anti feminist, i am currently studying about industrial revolutions and trade unions, nd this thought came to my mind )
We went from the time where women were forced to work in industries, to the time where women were forced to stay at home, to the time when women are willing to work in the industry.8 -

Since a country is considered to be the strongest definition of a group of unified people, consider the following scenario:
Every country makes it mandatory that any foreign company can only sell their software products as free to use softwares, or one time cost software, or a membership software.
These foreign companies are NOT allowed to generate revenue via Advertisement services or data collection/sharing/analysis AT ALL.
The sole right to share/collect data and use Advertisments as a revenue model remains in the hands of domestic companies born, registered and working in that country only.
This would generate an equal chance for both domestic and international companies to grow(domestic companies getting a chance to grow with a better revenue model, while international companies getting a chance to grow by monetising their tools/algorithms and investing in domestic companies) , resulting in countries getting a chance to grow themselves.
Open source will still win, as open source majorly contains tools and technologies for general public use.
Premium tools and frameworks would become even more valuable, and would he shared among countries like the way they share space researches and resources on nuclear technology today.
Privacy will win, as the data of a particular country stayed within a country. Domestic Companies sharing data with other companies (or even their foreign parent companies) would be held against the respective country's laws only, and government would be more involved in protecting its citizens from data theft.
Is it feasible?11 -

i wonder what would be the circumstances which lead to evolution of the most meek , fruit eating creatures (monkey) into the smartest, flesh eating carnivore (humans).
Did they just felt comfortable walking on 2 feet instead of 4?was this just an idea of some curious group of monkeys?
Imagine if in a parallel universe, their are lions who came up with this idea...and
Behold, in a parallel universe instead of us ,big vegan monster lion-humans are reading this post.(Vegan because why not?Its evolution)8 -

I have realized that my sleepless self is smarter than my usual self . Its like , as my battery goes out, a fuckin monster takes control and tries to rule my brain, scolding my usual self , taunting over smartly and wanting to fuck the hell up everyone who tries to mess with me (nd even some normal friends too)
Whereas my usual self is just meek , defensive and never attacking, sweet listener, calm kind of person with whom people usually mess up or joke about for fun .
I like this aggressive me. Fuck you body health , we are living the life of a sleepless asshole2 -

I was recently playing max payne 2 on my pc when this colleague of mine comes up and boasts "You playing max payne now?? I have completed this game so many times, even in the hard mode. Which mode are you playing in" (I was playing easy -.- )
But then it struck me. how cool it would have been, if we had a chance to take a decision at some point of our life , to continue the next phase in easy medium or hard mode. The harder the mode, the bigger the prize, but its not that you are suffering by the consequences of taking easy mode.
Like take college for example. Instead of companies deciding the quality of a candidate based on popularity of their college, they would take based on the mode of education they took for various subjects.
- The education mode system would be something like this: at the end of 6 month an exam will happen as usual
- the easy mode of exam will have just the lighter , more basic syllabus and lenient checking .
- the medium mode will have slightly more research based questions from the a more standard version of the previous syllabus and unbiased checking .
- the hard mode will have deep knowledge requirement professional questions and strict checking.
- students willing to dedicate heavy time to their choice of subject will then have better opportunities at big companies, making a fair ground for all.
- student more focused on non academic/ specific topics could take easy mode for most of the subjects, and focus on the career of their choice. They will still have a backup to apply for jobs requiring knowledge of certain subjects , but for lower wages( since they took the easy mode for those subjects they would be learning the required knowledge in the company, working as proxys/junior devs)
what do you think?3 -
Me and this friend of mine were usually average in college subjects. We were not really bad at them, we just never got any exceptional marks in those subjects.
So when our 4th sem result came, a third friend of us got really good marks in some subject , like in 90s, and we again had marks around 70s.
At that time we both knew that we know that subject way more than this topper guy in terms of knowledge, but he just crammed everything about that subject word to word and got the better marks.
We thus believed that marks doesn't matter, its the knowledge and we both know its stupid to cram useless things which could easily be referred from documentations or internet when required.
But last sem, something different happens. looks like mah boy was a little envious on the inside, he scored a whopping 88%, just near to that topper friend of ours . i was happy watching his happiness , and he was saying that "dude this sem, i will even try to beat that guy in marks."
Even though none of them are class toppers, but they are somehow running in the race to be one. I on the other hand is still firm on the belief of not cramming stupid shit just to get a status of some 'topper'.
even though cramming subject knowledge is not a total waste, i still believe we should only understand what we need to understand, like learning the moral from a war story, not cramming the actual war dates.
Some might find this quality of mine to be the reason of me being 'average', but i feel totally fine with it. I have trained myself to be able to lookup for a particular resource online faster than they are able to lookup for that resource crammed in their brain memory, and i wonder if i should feel guilty about it. Yet the society will always see me as an 'average' guy and them as a 'winner' -

What do people need? What will be the requirements of future?
App development, webdev, blockchain,.. snapchat, tiktok, insta... These are all just careers and apps whose sole purpose is to engage people with their phones... Every new app/website in the market wants to make the youngest of the young and oldest of the old to keep their eyes fixed on this glass screen for as long as they can... For the current decade, this has been the most successful market and profitable scheme of business in the world, leaving other careers like medical, astronomy, mechanics., Etc far behind.
So is this the future? In the next generation too we will be having users who are addicted to smaller and smaller and larger and larger screens, with their spectacle width thickening ... Or are we going to shift to some other form of business?3 -
(Note for dfox: I love this place and i would really like to have all my posts/ ++s/comment data available to me . Current system does not allow me to see posts more than some months old. is it possible? I hope devrant is not deleting old posts)

Stream of thoughts coming through
#justAthought 1
If you feel you are mentally unique (Not in retarded or disable kind of way, but having a different view of thinking, a different perspective, not-a-sheep-in-a-herd kind of mentality) , then you PROBABLY ARE, its just those who are not that mentally unique will find your thoughts absurd until you are proving yourself to be a successful person.
Even though you feel something is wrong in a current situation, and you can put some valid points in your argument, there would always come a point where your personal failures or average-ness would overshadow your valid points (kind of personal experience than a thought :/ )
#justAThought2 (Disclaimer: i am no fraud guru or priest, just a 9-5 curious , sleepless student-cum-professional)
I sometimes feel that the only good, meaningful goal that i could think for my life would be : to earn enough money to set up a small experiment environment , where I would initially take, around 25-30 people for 1-2 years. It would be an environment with totally $0 value for materialistic things like money, jewels, property, etc . Everyone is living free of tensions of basic services like food, clothes, house, taxes, work to live etc. Together we all will be collectively doing just these things: Making ourselves healthy , and more kind, spiritual towards other humans, animals, plants and environment, and thinking of ways to eradicate the value of "value".
We have already reached a point where we are generating even more harmful Technology than useful tech, how about changing the way of thinking and taking a small pause? I know a lot of people would be reluctant to do any work in such environment, but i believe one day or another, every one of these people has to come back to their usual jobs , but this time, not for money but for humanity.
Do you think this kind of environment is possible for the whole world? Because today most, if not all thinks that money is the ultimate goal. can we change that, and would that change be good?
#justAthought 3 (Disclaimer : 1. Its my mom's thought/whatsapp status , i kind off liked it. she is super religious by the way ^_^! | 2. more relevant for india/multi religious countries 3. for Indians: kind of thought from movie "oh my god")
There should be a regional law during so called "acts of god"(floods, earthquakes, other natural disasters) under which the donations given to religious places(temples, churches, mosques, etc) would be used to provide relief to affected areas.3
