I'm tempted to sell my MacBook Air M1, I found which I can be equally productive which a 2011 ThinkPad T420 with Lubuntu, Tmux and NeoVim.12

I was completely happy with my 12 inch MacBook. Never had a single problem. Butterfly keyboard was amazing, one Type-C port was always enough for me.
The only reason I switched to Air M1 was fucking React. React devserver was so heavy I needed something like M1 to make the development speed at least tolerable.
But, the good thing is, I don’t use React anymore. My production bundle, with minification, is 73 ms. I can daily-drive my beautiful, 12 inch, 900 g MacBook again!4 -
I have to admit, even though it's been less than a day with this thing, I'm really enjoying the M1 Air and all the really small things.
And I can finally have Xcode on the damn internal SSD without worrying about storage limits.4 -
[FE] Does anyone have any experience with web development on a 256/8 m1 macbook air?
Also, what's with the conflicting opinions about 8 or 16 gigs of ram?
Need to buy a new laptop and honestly I have no idea which one I should choose.28
