She submitted her resignation on the same day, best secretary we've ever had!

Couple years ago, in an Indian web dev company I worked at, the management decided it would be a good idea to ask all employees to "justify their salary" and submit their answers via email.

(You read that right)

70% workforce submitted their resignation the same day, resulting in the HR (who came up with this idea) getting fired on the spot.

Good times.

Back then, whatever finished tasks I have done, our CTO always contradicts my idea and finds a way to humiliate me. I don't get the point why he did that. Probably, he didn't want me to excel at something or he really does have crab mentality. I already reported this issue to our CEO because I was being harassed and submitted my resignation letter.
And boom! Guess what? It looks like our CTO just stepped a chicken manure and treats me nicely like a princess.

P.S. To be honest, it took him like a couple of months to step down and act normal like nothing happened. Really appreaciated the A-ffort, though!

My most memorable coworker had just submitted his resignation.
I am not okay.

I got my promotion by forcing it. I work at a fairly large gov organization and have done so for 2.5 years. I had been asking for a pay rise for years but was always told there’s no budget. I was doing work way beyond my pay grade as many senior devs had left. Eventually I got really sick of it so applied to another company, took 5 interview rounds but I had an offer that was a 30% raise on my salary at that time.

I submitted my resignation fully thinking that i’m going to leave, but what do you know, my division not only found the budget but did so in 2 days to come back with a counter offer. It’s funny how when push comes to shove, money that previously didn’t exist just appears out of no where

I was placed at the company I work at 9 years ago and it was a college recruitment. Due to the recession in 2007,and its effects in 2008,although I graduated in 2008,my company called me only in 2009,roughly after an year of passing out. I really needed the job. After joining the firm,we were all inducted and had our official ID's and email accounts created. There was a mentor to me,who sat right across.
I was naive and had left for lunch without locking my system,only to come back and see the horror:

"Your resignation has been submitted" in bold ,as a wallpaper.
I was shocked and had lot of things in my head because earlier that week some firms had given "pink slips" and it was all over the news.
Finally,my mentor told me he did it for fun. Have never left my system unlocked ever since!

Since I submitted my resignation my motivation has increased significantly, because I know that any of this shit I will produce until then won't be bugging me later :D

I just feel sorry for my close dev colleges.... :/

Its so disheartening to see how easily replacable you are if you work for someone else, no matter how hard you worked. The moment you say " I am resigning", the behaviour of your manager changes so dramatically. Its like you don't exist anymore. No more new interesting work, no nothing. Why!!!!

Serving 3 months notice period. But the notice starts from the end of the month your submit your resignation letter to HR. I submitted on 3rd of current month. So technically I have to serve 4 months in total.

I usually don't get attached to the company I work for. Rather I'm more attached to the work what I do.

But I don't know what happened to me today! When I resigned from my company, somewhere deep down, I felt bad! 😥

My senior colleague turned buddy submitted his resignation today. I'm happy for the new opportunities coming his way yet at the same time I know I will miss the guy who taught me so much. Bittersweet moment...
