					Created a tool that game-masters/admins for some online game servers could use to administrate their servers. Using Visual Basic 6.0... Back in 1999...

 No successful projects since. *sad panda*1

					I'm struggling at work. I hate senior mgmt at this company so much it's actually affecting my ability to produce work.

 Fuckers high up have been delaying performance reviews for like a year, but they get their fucking bonuses with no delay. I can't afford not to have a job, so I'm trying to work, but it's hard. I try to keep things in perspective that they're still paying me so I should just do my job.. but how do you do it if you hate those cunts at the top so much. I became so toxic because of all the resentment too.5

					How do you guys handle receiving criticism to things you think you're doing well (or maybe not)?

 I've been in my current role at my company for almost a year and I think I'm seen as good talent, but I have a hard time translating critical feedback from "we're telling you this so we can see you grow" and instead I hear "you are doing that wrong, do this instead."

 It drives me nuts because I always think I'm failing.1

					So, for a few months, as my finals are comming near, I was wondering is it a good idea to re-format my SSD and put Ubuntu on my laptop.
 Reason? So I can't play games on my laptop and focus more on coding.
 Downloaded Ubuntu, format, install, I was happy.
 Soon as it installed, I downloaded all the sht I need (slack, discord, VSCode, nodejs, pixie dust and unicorns...), and did a 10 minute setup so the OS feels "nice".
 After few hours of "trying" to work, I noticed it runs rather slow (vscode keeps freezing, app I'm developing stutters in chrome...), so maybe Ubuntu is being a douche to my laptop.
 Downloaded xubuntu, did mostly the same (less work has to be done since xubuntu feels nicer than ubuntu (thanks xfce (mouse <3)), and started doing the same.
 I realised that I can't use any of my Logitech stuff (mouse, headset (and by "can't use, I mean I can't use the Logiteh gaming software to set the DPI, mouse speed, buttons, nor set up the headset, so they sound like jack shit)).
 Frustrated, I went to fix all the stuff manualy, with no success.
 Also, the OS froze 3 times completely.
 Luckly, I made a whole Windows 10 backup so I've spent a few hours more just waiting for it to restore.
 Oh, did I mention I can't tether my Android device internet via usb on ubuntu?
 Do I have so much to learn or this is how my life is going to look like when I start working as a developer?

 read a bit more ->
 refactor with a more advanced approach
 -> repeat until GODMODE
 -> sad panda if the next version is completely different (Angular 2.0)
 -> flex your muscles
 -> buy some swag

					Starting a new job tomorrow. Haven't worked in more than 6 months, but did some leetcoding in the meantime. Problem is, I don't miss programming. I think I would just like a boring job for a bit, something not in the tech sector. Don't know why, I think I'm disillusioned with it. People with egos and lack of basic social skills/courtesy, bullshit work... I really hope this one's going to be better.2

					I’m in between jobs due to the pandemic and need structure in my life. I have ADHD and no structure makes me a sad panda. I’m desparately grasping for some online educational content bc my previous tech stacks are a little old and need to keep up with the modern stacks so I can get a new role and have a structured regimen that school gives.

 Unfortunately most of these courses are just boring as shit video lectures where you watch the developer code! WTF!! They’re advertised as “you will code a real world application” and 🤣you get a certificate at the end!

 So if anyone took a full stack curriculum using modern stacks like the MEAN stack where they actually developed something themselves, post it here please?6

					I'm trying to land a job that uses react on the front end, but I have no experience with it on the job. I have used it in spare time for other (unpublishable) projects.

 Any ideas as to what could be good showcase projects that display my familiarity with React that do not require a year to finish?5
