Some time i feel sad and happy at the same time. Sad, because of some users our App is getting less rating on Play Store and happy because at the same time we keep making loads of money from them.

Client(On Call): I emailed some query a day before. I got a response too. But, i am not able to find answer of my specific query.

Client: No. It's not there.

I was on leave for 15 days. They asked someone else to do this job(a minor change, they said) and Oh boy, December is not going to be easy. This is gonna be worst end of a year for me.

Ok, so google asked me to remove SEND_SMS and RECIEVE_SMS permission from my app before January 9th, 2019 or I should remove my app from play instead. F***ing Great.

Having a hard time in an internal test of our app. I thought all okay, but there is some bug, every time. Internal test team, well done.

Whenever I thought everything is okay and I am all good for the day, earphone stopped working from one side.

Project Manager: You used a hash/salt to encrypt the password in our customer database?

Me: Yes.

Project Manager: That's mean we will not be able to see the password?

Me: That's the whole point. Why would you want to see what password customer is choosing?

Project Manager: Change it. Use random encryption method.

This user asked me to Provide my app to Him free of cost for one month (Cost is Around a Dollar for a Month service). I agreed. A few months Later he asked again and I politely refused. See what he did.

Many can relate. 🤔

Its 3 a.m. and i am thinking: Why the hell people do not edit/improve their rating and foul-mouthed word on App Store even when we fix those problems they report?

So, someone from support department asked me to check the app as it was displaying blank information on a page.

I started debugging on the api which i found is doing the proboem. I checked and it was working a moment before but not now. Switched in debug mode to see what went wrong and it works again. This happen multiple times.

Before doing anything else i asked our api developer to check if api is working. He said it should work now and problem has been fixed.

Later i found out that he was doing debugging/changing code on production server instead of his local machine or test server.

Oh boy! 😔

So a muslim guy asked developers to remove "Pig" symbol from app because it is "Haram" in their religion.

She : Bring the stars for me.
He : Are you mad? How can i even do that? Impossible, ask something else.
She : Stop writing Codes.
He : Ok, How many stars you need?

Me : Here's my resignation.
Boss : No need.
Me (Expecting some good words) : Why sir?
Boss : Here's your termination.

I am a android developer. Mostly use java. I'm about to Develop an API for our next app. What should i use : php or python?

Me : Yeah dude, totally. I support Right To Privacy.
Also Me : To get OTP filled automatically, i need to ask Recieve Sms Permission from user. Also to send them, too.

That was the day i learnt i need to write code in proper way. And i started improving it.

So, after months of work and many painful night, i finaly learnt java and published my first android app. Yay!

My friend told me this :

"To make my app running as free i decided to implement Donation. User base of the application is above lacs, So i thought it will be not a big deal. $1 was the amount.

After a month when i was checking store review one comment was this.. "Begger App. Update every day." Star was 3 to my surprise.

And now i am seriously thinking to withdraw my app from store."

Harsh Reality:

When i first join devRant it'd seems more like community. We were discussing, ranting about our daily life struggle.

I thought i'm gonna get equal importance because our community will understand us.

But it seems we are also a type of product user or say clients. We bash left and right some programing languages, some Operating Systems. Say bad thing about some one's coding style.

This is not good. Whatever we are using, we are doing the same thing. We are contributing something in someway.

And if we are doing it, we have no rights to bash our clients as they are doing the same.

So finally i am taking summer vacation. Vacation will start tomorrow and will end in 1st week of May. I am gonna miss my companion (my laptops and accessories​ 😂) but yeah, they know also i was in dire need of this.

I did learn c and c++. When i got my first job it was support related as Attending calls and providing solutions.

As time passed i came to know that the application company was building has many flaws. From there i learned to exploit that flaws.

So flaws made me to learn to programme. I was 21 when i started. I am 29 now.

My Perfect Day : Assumption

Woke up at 6. Went for morning walk or do yoga or some sort of stuff.

Came back at 7. Went for daily routine, like bathing and all.

Went to prepare breakfast at 7:45. Prepared some eggs and bread and coffee.

It is 8:15 now. Reading news papers or watching tv and doing breakfast.

At 9 check mails and prepare some stuff.

At 9: 30 went for office. Reached office 5 minute before 10, safe and sound.

Came back at 7 by evening. Did some rest. Prepare dine till 9. Take a bath. Complete the dine.

At 10:30 ready to sleep.

Actual Scenario :

Woke up at 8:30. No time for yoga or morning walk. No time for preparing breakfast as well. Went straight to bathroom. Came back in 20 minutes. Made a cup of coffee. No time for newspaper or tv.

Feeling lazy and tired already. At 9:10 went for office. Before reaching office stopped at fast food joints. buy some junk food. Eat them. Got traffic jam and reached office late.

Started working but feeling lazy. Boss asked twice about the project status and i am unable to think a single line of code.

However, days passed. Boss scolded me. I promised him to finish the work after reaching home.

Reached home at 7:30. Late for no reason. Went straight to bed. Sleeps a hour. But took 20 minutes to leave bed.

Started working on projects i did not complete in the office.

Time fly and it is already 1 in morning. No dinner. Tired as fuck but hungry as well. So made some eggs and eat. Wrapped the task but it is 3:30 in morning and i jumped to bed for sleep.

Loop.

These lady staff in my office, I tell you, are moron. They keep switching AC on and off every 10 minutes. They have the control here, we have to adjust.

I do write a functions class for most used functions or methods but, some how end up copying some of those on every page.
