    You bought an Apple product, so why do you complain that it puts aesthetics over function? It's probably even shoddy hardware that can't charge and operate at the same time.

    It's not like this is new news or anything, you knew what kind of bullshit you were paying for when you bought it.

    Anything mac related is a joke.

    2 questions:

    1. Can't you use another mouse while this one is charging? Usb mouse? Touchpad?

    2. Does it disable the sensor when charging? I'm curious, while it's charging, can you still use it on the edge of your desk [so the charging cable is not being touched - hanging down]?

    Aha! They expect you to buy a second one and switch between them! That’s the Apple way!

    ydi for using an inferior apple product in the first place.

    I would bash on you for lolapple,
    but I'll try to be constructive and post you this

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/...

    along with some chrome/ffox ones such as f6 for address bar, Ctrl w and t to close and open tabs, CMD and space for spotlight.

    When you are forced to, it's easy to learn to operate your box without mouse.

    I guess they may be lolcommand instead of Ctrl, but I wouldn't know, I don't speak crapple.

    Why did you start using a wireless mouse? And does that reasoning still hold - now that you know about the drawback?

    Also if this deadline actually is one, don't anwer and just comply with their demands. Don't try to be a hero...

    @FuckJava the exception is Raspberry

    @cafecortado And Cherry for keyboards.

    @cafecortado Yeah. Forrest Gump doesn't own shares in Raspberry Foundation, only Apple

    use a dongle, and attach a wired mouse then, duh.

    Apple gave all their products retarded design. You already have your answer.

    I honestly don't get the allure in buying a mouse from your OS/laptop/phone manufacturer unless it's the cheapest option. If I pay extra for a mouse, I get it from a company that's known for making really good mice.

    I recommend buying work oriented products, will fix your issues.

    I alternately use a USB-connected mouse or a Wacom pen tablet depending on mood and task. I abandoned the default Apple mouse. Mostly because of ergonomic reasons related to carpal tunnel.

    I will say one thing in favor of MacOS: It’s reliable AF and doesn’t crash because it’s a random Tuesday and some stupid DLL decides to go AWOL. It receives far fewer virus/worm/trojan/ransomware attacks than Windows, too.

    My kid bought an expensive beast PC gaming desktop rig and has barely been able to use it because of forced updates and some stupid update in particular called 22H2 that completely borks the machine every time it’s forcefully applied. He has reinstalled Windows three times, has a a total of 7 hours of gaming, and 3 hours of support calls since it arrived 13 days ago.

    My other son has a top-of-the-line gaming PC laptop that has long had missing backlighting in the screen in random places. The thing is horrendously loud with its fan when he plays. Crashes frequently.

    When I first saw one of those mice i had immedeatly this very situation in my mind. Nice.

    the magic mouse is clearly a prank. i'm a mac user myself but there literally isn't a single valid reason to ever use one of those things, they're awful.

    Perhaps it can charge wirelessly, like other top of the line mice. I however don't believe in batteries on hardware that is used stationary. So except from my keyboard with integrated touchpad for my media center everything is wired and always functions. Even on Windows.

    Actually it's OSX that fucks up here too. Meta keys sometimes hang. Didn't happen on Linux nor Windows but it happens on OSX with a mech keyboard not designed specifically for/by Apple...

    The solution is an 🕳️ in your desk
    Then turn mouse sensitivity up to 11 and do only very small movements 😅

    I can write this because I have one of those too 😇

    @rov3rand0m
    An infrared eye?
    Or a webcam that projects a keyboard then receives positioning on said surface?
    I need answers.
    Also, quite happy and proud to be in IT for such advancements.
