Thanks to @dfox @trogus for asking users for a pittance to offset server costs rather than inundating the app with ads that make it unusable.

This has been a longtime suggestion of mine for other apps and social media sites. People will pay a premium (even if it’s only $2) for quality; just ask Apple.

I wonder if I'm getting tired of making websites for people. I just "fired" two longtime clients today without really caring all that much. Not for no reason. They just were asking too much for too little. And I was getting bored of them. When I think about what I want to do in my spare time, the first thing I think about is creative writing. The last thing I think about is code and website design. It didn't used to be this way.

I'm just here to complain about how everyone at my company sets "latest" for every dependency.

This wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, expect that no one fucking manages their version numbers...everything is still 1.0.X where X is the build number. Even if there have been breaking changes. Even if it's been like 5 years since the repo was created...

Yesterday a longtime friend asked me if I finally become a programmer.

Is it really being a programmer looking for solutions on stackoverflow?

Yo been a longtime.

So I basically quit my last job to have successfully reached the top company in my country only to find they are such a mess.

No code quality whatsoever, testing? Yiu crazy? And all the old people who think they are senior whilst they do not know jack..

I do distribured web applications, but shit I hate titles and I think of myself as a software guy, I can do software that opens the fridge when I close the toilet lid ffs!

So, I am looking to deviate my career from web to something more deep such as distributed systems and services where I can use all of my skills and expand my knowledge more, and be able to code in js, c++ golang and more, handle and tackle infrastructure issues, virtualization etc...

So I want to ask you guys what would be an interesting project I can work on to concretize my skill and be able to convince my next recruiter that I walk the talk.
