TL:DR: US Border Control can detain you, force you to unlock and search all your devices without a warrant, they don't even need a hint of suspicion. Guess I aint travelling to the US in the foreseeable future. This is some North-Korea shit.27 -
Cybersecurity firm Sophos announced that it has open-sourced the Sandboxie Windows sandbox-based isolation utility. According to the reports of Bleeping Computer: Sandboxie was developed by Ronen Tzur and released on June 26, 2004, as a simple utility to help run Internet Explorer within a secure and isolated sandbox environment. Later, Tzur upgraded Sandboxie to also support sandboxing any other Windows applications that required a secure virtual sandbox.
Sophos Director of Product Marketing Seth Geftic said "We are thrilled to give the code to the community. The Sandboxie tool has been built on many years highly-skilled developer work and is an example of how to integrate with Windows at a very low level. The Sandboxie user base represents some of the most passionate, forward-thinking, and knowledgeable members of the security community, and we hope this announcement will spawn a fresh wave of ideas and use cases."
You can download Sandboxie and its source code here.

Guys which fucken anti-virus do you recommend for free, which doesn't throw around with ads like crazy?😵

Sadly, win10 is a must.😛
Girlfriend managed to catch some encryption fuck-up..

How is it that every laptop my mom uses always seems to have Windows Defender AND MalwareBytes uninstalled? The thought of her work laptop always needing to be connected to a super public airport network while she has no AV bothers me to say the least, especially when that laptop then connects to our home network every night. Looks like I'm gonna use Sophos and guard that laptop like everything else on our network depends on it...5

My company has an default user for external people and two wifi networks, on for the company itself and on for the employees. both wifis have an shit of an firewall(more than once were wikipedia blocked). I found out that the internal wifi allowed the default user and had some outgoing ports open, i set up an vpn and now i can use what i want without being blocked.

Fuck you sophos. Fuck you hard. I moved a server to a new datacenter and it worked like a charm. Thank you windows and hyper-v. BUT! BUUUUUUT my fucking sophos worked like shit. Blocking everything by default? Yeah fuck you. Reconfigured everything. Still blocked and why? Forward “all“ doesnt mean forward all. Had to apply rules from port tcp 1 - 65335 and udp 1-65335. Nice you piece of fuck.2

I wish sophos had some sort of out of the box mode for development which avoided slowing down IDEs and build servers1
