Finally got the opportunity to work as fullstack more oriented to backend as a side gig and I fucking love it.

Now I can say with all my heart that I hate my main frontend job and designers so much. I hate every small task like:
- change this arrow
- change this button
- change this color
- well this is not accessible.
- well this doesn't pass contrast check ( as if this is my fucking job and not the stupid fuck designer who mixes up colors )

Now I'm just trying to consider a reconversion and git gud .

About 5 years ago I stopped pirating and started supporting companies by buying subscriptions or software ( mostly games, apps I use at work, tv shows / movies streaming services ). If it requires payment, I paid the price.

Companies started to screw both customers by delivering shitty products and employees by laying off ( I'm not in a big company, never will be but I feel bad for all the employees that are in this situation )

Started pirating everything, closed almost all of my subscriptions, currently building my home server for git, local ai and anything I need.

Now I'm planning to do some research to find some good replacements for cloudflare and a friendly host provider that is not all greed and doesn't have a history of massively laying off employees just because they overhired or overpromised.

Fuck you greedy capitalist pigs.

Question for those who are into mobile game dev: unity is still a shitshow or they just quit the idea of charging for each install ? Trying to choose a game engine and I have no f clue what to choose for a 2.5d platformer

For my employers: Just go fuck yourself with your greed. I'm gonna start my own business and fail till it succeeds.

Now at 29 I'm fucking stuck with this shit with no energy and patience to learn something else or at least jump on b/e or anything that is not related to web dev or js.

For the guys who uses pop! os ( apparently ubuntu breaks on rtx 3070 and don’t have the patience to find the proper drivers ) and i3wm how do you manage the scaling / dpi on different monitors ( i have 4 of them: 4k, 2k, 1920 and ultrawide 2560x1080 ) and apparently on 3 of them the cursor and font is fucking huge and on the 4k is too small. Tried scaling them manually using xrandr but it still doesn’t look right .

What songs gets you in the zone?
I listened to witcher soundtracks, celtic music , irish pub music , metal, power metal ( all of the popular bands ) , folk rock but I started to get bored of them . I’m opened to everything that sounds good

Ok. Vim is absolutely brilliant. But sublime in vintage mode ( sublime text with some of the vim capabilities ) is more brilliant. Today I just found out that this code editor (sublime) has this feature implemented and I'm happier than ever. I will use both of them and I won't need any over text editor ( although I have to try to emacs and spacemacs ).

Started Master Degree in DB just to prove to myself that I can do this. Although I'm really bad at sql I passed the admission exam . Now I'm wondering : how the fuck I passed a fucking sql exam without knowing to write a single good sql line . Just how ...
