My 6 year old has been learning about trees at school, and had questions for me. Needless to say, she now has the best understanding of data structures in her class, and I expect parents evening will be "interesting"8

Q: What do computers and air conditioners have in common??
A: They both become useless when you open windows.3 -
My favorite client just brought in a new team member who thinks he's god's gift to web development and design. Every week he gives me a long list of things he thinks are wrong with the website.
Now he's cloning pages of the site and adding hideously distorted images and excel screenshots of information matrices formatted the way he wants them. And he wants them published as he has made them because his ideas are obviously the best ones! (guess who he voted for)
He also claims that nobody can figure out how to purchase anything on the site, including him! Even after I've made it so you'd have to be frickin' Helen Keller not to be able to stumble over a BIG FAT BUY NOW BUTTON literally everywhere you look because this site is for geriatric senile MORONS who can't click their way out of a paper bag!!!5 -
Just taken over a project from a "high end" London agency to find their code is just poorly copy/pasted examples from the WordPress codex.2

Already dreading about going to work Monday because there is an all day meeting scheduled. 7am meeting, non programming related, video conference. Yikes. #ijustwanttoprogram4

My graduation cap. Just got my degree in CS. As I shook the hand of the Dean of the college, he said "love the cap"

I Love coding in The Sun with some Ice-Cold drinks, but if the Notebook-Screen wouldn't reflect The Sunlight so brutal...4

When your PR has been sitting for days, and your co-worker submits a PR for the same thing and merges it right away.2

When the previous frontend developer has been using float: left; on every single element of the page.3

And today on My Strange Addiction: Browser Tabs and the People That Never Close Them. - seriously, when you have 38 tabs open and your sandwich menu is red, just stop. It takes all of a minute to close Chrome and restart it.15

you're doing a code review and you ask for a simple fix and the reply you get back is: "that's not my code. I just copied and pasted it from somewhere else."1

It's almost 4 on a Friday and my coworker just left early. The only thing before leaving was to tell my boss about a problem in production...
Leaving me to fix it...
"Hey, I just heard about a problem in production. Can you fix it before you go?"
Not cool dude... Not cool.5 -
Me: Hi! I'd like to apply for the front-end developer position!
Them: Mmhmm. What's your education? It involves a lot of javascript.
Me: I recently earned a certificate in javascript development for front-end, on top of my professional experience.
Them: What's you're experience?
Me: 8 years of professional front-end development.
Them: Hmm. That won't work. What about this job, Implementation Specialist?
Me: So I have to help the customer write requirements, train the customer with new software, write documentation for the customer... you want me to apply to be in customer support?
Would I have spent the last 8 years of my life learning and earning programming if I liked dealing with people?3 -
ARGH. The moment you realise the previous developer centralised ALL of the current software around a M$ access dBase. WTF. Same dude also stores day of year, week of year, month number and year as seperate fields in a MySQL dBase. Alongside a datetime stamp. OMFG!!!!9

When designers use screen to give images transparency and set black text to 80% opacity instead of making it gray 🙂🔫
