I remember the first time I had a code block, I sat on my desk for up to 18 hours trying to fix it. In the end realizing that my impatience is not helping me. It was all in vain. A tired mind did not help.
I finally came to realise that I was lacking on knowledge and a tired brain did not help. I did it the next day but learnt a huge lesson. When it's just not your day, it's not you day. A fresh mind will help next day. Relax, do anything apart from code.
Too much of code can drain you of ideas and smartness. You need to let your mind breathe. Life away from the PC is important too. -
Was stuck on a bug, took 2 days still couldnt fix it. Dumped all blame on backend guys. Came out it actually was an API issue 😂

//Let it be known that on May 25th, 2012, a single missing semicolon on the below line caused nearly eight hours of confusion and grief.3

I code when I'm stressed out. It helps me from overthinking about stuff because I'll be too busy finding the missing semicolon.3

client looks on my awsome logo draft and hates it. wants it to look like a 90s logo with a jpg instead of vektor art.
and he is absolute impressed by bullshit cms content-slider landing pages.
sometimes you are forced to do bullshit work that you cant put on your portfolio.2 -
beginner coder: figures out how to write a feature
average coder: knows a few different ways to write a feature. but not quite sure on which one to use.
master coder: meditates before starting a project. closes his eyes to map out the entire infrastructure of the project.
god coder: gets paid ALOT of money to guide people on the right to do it.2 -
Tonight I was getting ready to pay my monthly apartment maintenance bill so I Googled my property management company's name because I always forget the url. It's always the first result, but I noticed Google placed a little "This site may be hacked." line of text on their listing.
Seeing that before and knowing what it means, I went into the source for their index page, and to my suspicion, their WordPress installation was hacked with the standard invisible spam links.
I realize this happens to a lot of WordPress blogs, but this is an NYC property management company that is responsible for a lot of buildings and has millions of dollars in contracts. Normally I would inform them, but having dealt with them in the past I don't like them very much, but more importantly, I don't think they'd understand what I was saying because they are so technically inept. They might even think that because I found this, that I had something to do with it.
So devRant, it is up to you. What should I do?22 -
I asked a co founder of a tech startup, "Why use MEAN stack? " his reaction \_(ツ)_/¯ because it's cool and famous.

Question:
I've just learned html, css, php.
JavaScript and SQL i know from Before. I have used VS since the day i started programming. For all My languages ever! The thing is that My HTML/css placement skills are a huge time stealer. I waste 90% OF webdev time to just get things to the right place even with bootstrap css. Write->compile->write...... So My question is IF i should change program for writing html/css to à more visual/interactive editor or stay with VS and hopefully i become pro designer soon.3 -
No matter how many times I learn how to center a text vertically in a div, every time I have to spend half an hour just looking for a solution17

The moment when you short circuit a new 1TB disk because the the external disk case has on one side conductive bumpers (I think for ESD purpose) ... Who designs this shit? D:

I'm a network engineer. Mom questions my skills when I tell her to just reset the router, but when customer service tells her to, she acts like she's listening to the voice of god.2

When a tester found a bug that you never think of and you cannot reproduce it. What is your response ? 😄3
