Updated version of the generator is online!
Also we moved to devbanner.center!
We fixed the font rendering errors, and some left padding was added. I know it's still not perfect, but it'll do for now :)
Beware that we changed the api endpoint from /api/banner to /generate/banner. This will make things clearer for future endpoints.
New example call:

Next up is word wrapping and some more content in the banner. Stay tuned! -

@Kimmax instead of having custom text via api, just fetch the users description, so you are sure that its actually him. (since only he can change his profile description)

@JoshBent we already do if you don't specify a subtext at all, however most descriptions are way to long and we're going to need that space further down the road
I'm thinking of a prefixed rant which would provide the text, but that would spam the feed a bit too much in my opinion
Just got an idea while writing this:
Maybe a designated rant and than comment what you would like as subtext..
Would keep the feed impact low (one rant) and pulling the comment from that rant is easily done
Also ties the text directly to the account without the need of auth info (never going to happen) or the need of OAuth on Devrant -
@Kimmax not sure if devrant is built to have millions of comments, also you can just autoresize fontsize based on its canvas size until it fits and limit it, so it doesnt get too small and then just substring it.

@Kimmax still, even with that - I don't think that's a good way to do it, rather than just handling the textsize and length. You could also just tell the people that only the first X characters are taken, so if they want the entire sentence to be on it, then they will truncate it themselves to fit, but the other way is still better (adjusting font-size) imho.

I couldn't resist... made a little front end on my website to create banners with your API. You can find it at http://bashlord.com/devrant-banners it keeps track of the created banners and keeps the images cached for a while. @Kimmax @CozyPlanes @github Is it okay if I keep this online for a while?
