Found this on the net... Relatable as some instructions definately need to be spelt out explicitly for certain people. 🙈4

Debugging someone else's code and having the thought: "Am I better off just writing the code again from the start?!"6

Definitely feel thankful when apps do provide update with fixes but then some release note are like this... 🤔4

A SQL query goes into a bar, walks up to two tables and asks, "Can I join you?"
Such a classic joke. Apt for a Friday! :D1 -
Best part to being a dev? Attention 😼
(Perks (or struggle depending on how you see it) of being a female dev)11 -
These two!!!
Sherlock giving the motivation to do detective work and find the bugs. Dumbledore giving the motivation to use magic and code the solution. :D8 -
Worst documentation I've dealt with? The non-existent one.
"Is there any documentation for this?" "Nope." "..." -
I'm sorry I know this isn't related in any way to deving but honestly I am shitting a brick over this referendum, I am fairly fucked if we leave24

Just imagination but, if infinite money and resource was present (and if this was hypothetically possible)...
A machine that is able to replicate ONLY one portion of the brain thinking activity and produce a version of a robot with that thinking capacity. This would be unique per person, and licensed in a way so that the owner of the robot is only able to use and control it. (I'm saying only one thinking capability should be allowed as a robot should never replace a person ideally.)
This would mean that the person is able to increase efficiency as the robot could be set to resume activities in the period that the person can't (i.e. sleeping).
One example of using this scenario could be that the person chooses to create a robot by replicating their coding thinking capabilities. This would mean the robot doesn't do much but has the same thinking ability to code as the owner. The robot could be used when the owner is sleeping or on holiday. As the thinking capacity is the same, the code logic would be the same as when the owner would have wrote it.
This would be a DREAM project to work on.
But alas... This isn't happening anytime soon in my lifetime (or ever realistically).1 -
me: When will you change this job ?
co-worker: Not now. Want to stay here for a while.
Just seen stackoverflow developer survey results -

I just realized what a horrible fate I escaped several years ago.
I was just finishing bachelor s degree, when I was offered to write my diploma under teacher, who works in Bitrix.
I was given first tasks how to make web site on my own l, I liked it pretty much in the beginning, I installed sql database, made simple registration, login. And then I was offered to try CMS bitrix (which is essentially proprietary local version of Wordpress). With words, that I will see how much easier to work in this way.
I found myself not trusting it, something was fishy. I could not understand why, am I as beginning dev in it, could not use it for free? Why could I not making deving in it, without paying big sum per month(it was big for student-me at least).
I went to work with computer graphics during diploma then, and made minecraft analog in c# (at that time I played minecraft too much)
Now I am working with modern open source world wide supported frameworks. And recently saw a web site made by bitrix devs... They went into production without... https. And I think they are the same ones.4 -
We are presenting the last 3 months worth of almost 24 hours a day type deving so let's hope a bug doesn't pop up in our production line lake last time...😐😐😐
