TLDR; Send help, need VR video player that works on all the platforms (not IE, that can burn in hell)
Okay, don't get me wrong; I love iOS and most of it's features like being able to connect to the same WIFI-networks without having to fill a password twice.
But holy shit; Fuck Safari.
They made it so hard to access the stupid motion thing which you can use for VR.
Why do I know this? Well of course I have been building an app for a client which needs to display 360 degree video, which would be best viewed by turning your phone instead of swiping across your screen.3 -
TLDR; Please give me some feedback on the design (again)
So guys, a while back I posted a post (link in comments) with a design for a concept app for poules.
Now I've processed some feedback from you guys and from some friends. Meaning I added some gradients and made the design way easier. Here is the newer version!3 -
We should all just show a popup in every app with links to chrome / firefox on IE (Saw some clients still using IE7)3
-
Hey Guys,
I just started work on a new (personal) project for my portfolio and I don't know too much about design, so I'm hoping you guys can give me some feedback.
The project is going to be an app that the user can use to create a Poule (basically something like this but smaller: https://poules.com/us).
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Also tell me if you'd want to use this type of app with your friends!6 -
If I dont fucking get a passing grade on this test I'll have to wait another year for my diploma yet I allready siged a full time contract 🙃🙃🙃6
-
Another twisty story that came to mind is the fact that 2 years ago i was an intern. Interning at the company Im working now and I just signed a contract for undecided (full)time as a medior dev (yes i only have 2 years of experience but i guess they like me 🙃)
Right now I am the one person (almost) everyone in the company turns to and somehow I almost always know the answer.
Most amazing thing is I never try a d tell the answer straight up, but make them figure the solution out on their own so they dont ask me the next time 😇 -
So when I started out for my education at school I had this one teacher that tought me a lot about developing code and stuff.
Then 3 years later, I'm in my graduation year and he came to me for help on deploying a simple php website (he tought php) and asks me if i want to make a website for his wife.
(Never heard anything about the website again tho)1 -

Goddamnit first day after vacation my alarm goes off, i turn it off and guess what
Correct i turned my dumb ass the fuck arround again and fell back asleep for another hour.
But it is kinda fine because i could still catch the next train after the one i normally take. -
Just arrived at the vacation home, turns out the "free" wifi is dead as hell, because quote; "a tree fell on a wire"
Which first of all that is fucking bs because they have internet at the reception still so that shouldn't work either right? But okay we now live without internet for the coming 3 days we are relying on our data plan....5 -
Simple question who thought the @ symbol was the best for tagging other people and the # was good (only) for taggs?6
-
I kid you not I was standing waiting for the train and there was a guy behind me defending incest...16

Fuck SEO companies and their dumb fucking faces.
The SEO campany that was hired for a website by the client just asked us to implement hreflang tags.
Which at fist sounds logical, but it was requested on a website that is multi language installed (english has a .com and dutch has a .nl domain) meaning all installations target a completely different audience and to implement it correctly we would somehow have to make it automatically resolve the url? Like what the fuck do they want us to do, so we called the actual Client of the project and he's like;
"We'll wait for now as it sounds like you guys don't think it would be usefull, but I think we may need to pick it up later"
So that cleared that up for now.
In other news; One more day and then I have vacation, maybe afterwards I'll be able to not fall asleep at 6pm and sleep to 11pm only to sleep from 11.30pm to 6am6 -
So today a file my PHP application made went through to a machine (50x50 meters) and out came the finished product exactly as it should have.
Sidenote; fuck you haters4 -
TLDR; read the last alinea, my train just arrived and I am typing this after the resr of the rant
So lately there's been a lot of hate on here to PHP, which for now I'd say feel offended if you want to, but fuck all of the guys hating on a language without personal experience or even just plain "I used it for a week or less"-experience.
Noticed I said "a", yes I am not just talking about hate on PHP. It's pretty much the stupidest thing one can do, exclude a programming language you might like more than you will think at this moment. I present to you; My first few weeks of internship last year.
So last year I had to find a company to do an internship at with two classmates, none of them replied with a come over for a talk except a company mainly working in Laravel (PHP).
All of us didnt like php at the time, me possibly even hating it the most, but that didnt keep us from taking the leap of faith and just going to the company for a talk, I mean it couldnt hurt right?
So after the talk we had a place for an internship, which we all thought we were all going to hate, because of PHP.
Now a few weeks into the internship (3 / 10 weeks I'd say) we had basically just gotten done with the first setup of the project we had to build. And we noticed after a good 2 or 3 weeks that it didn't feel like too much of a different language.
Personally I even found it better than C# or Java, which were the only other languages I knew at the time.
Now keep in mind I still like C# and Java, allthough guven the chance I'll choose PHP everyday over both.
But I learned more things I was expecting to learn those 10 internship-weeks, with the one thing I am writing about being the main focus:
Stop hating, try the language out for at least a week (yes 5 * 8 hours) and then make an educated decission based on your findings throughout the week, you might be surprised...rant im using vue more and more lately fuck shit fuck you train does anyone actually read this tho? fuck language hater language hate6 -
Which fucking idiot thought it was a good idea to give adds the right to go and bust your fucking eardrums out of the blue. Like, I'll be sitting here playing a mobile game with my earphones in that has like little to no sound and out of nowhere some fucking add just goes BANG BANG BANG BANG as if my phone's volume is on max volume and put through an amplifier just to fucking rape my ears.
I GOT NEWS TO EVERY ONE THAT THIBKS THIS IS A GOOD IDEA:
NOBODY FUCKING LIKES YOU AND I HOPE YOU BURN IN A FIRE THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SOUND IN A PADDED ROOM WHERE SOUND IS NOT A THING -

So I'm thinking of buying a treadmill and I was wondering, might it be possible to build something that locks my computer from gaming until I have walked / ran X km on it.
Does anyone know / anyone know an existing app like that?9 -
The fact that it is mostly for school lately and also most of the time it's just been documentation the past 2 weeks, one week of just documentation to go...

Just got back from an exam about workethics; damn that shit is so useless and does not resemble the world in any way, shape or form.
Basically you had to conclude out of 1 A4 piece of words what kind of ethic sotuation the main person was in, after which you need to give your personal opinion on the matter
Which you had to give arguments for in three specific bullshit ways, all the while considering standards, values and virtues.
Now after doing all that you are probably not interested in the case we had to decide on, but for those that are, down the rabbit hole you go;
So the case was basically a guy that was doing his graduation internship at some neighborhood care company, which wanted a system that automatically generates a route for their workers to walk.
So the guy had to do a research into whether or not their clients and workers were interested in this system; TLDR: They didn't want it (ehat a shock). Reason was that it would be less personal, which neither the clients or the workers were happy with.
So after all that I decided the guy shpuld be honest in his the conclusion of his research and afterwards just build it anyway, just because he might otherwise fail the graduation which would then set him back half a year.

You still here? Wow how persistant, have a GDPR-mail.

Good so now we wait for the grade I get for this exam, I am guessing it's not positive and I will have to do the exam for the fourth time, what do you think?2 -
Anyone here ever build something with vuforia and tried to implement a static object in your scene to move around?
So like you start the program and there is a 3D AR object in front of you. That object should not change position when you move.
I have been searching for about 4 hours now and havent made any progress and im just questioning if it is even possible to do, so if any of you understand the problem please add your 2 cents -
Keeping the part time offer of my current job to continue doing school full time, instead of reversing that and not having to pay for school3

I would have to say spending money, that 34inch widescreen really makes working way easier when im at home2

I once made a .less files of 400 lines and today I redid it completely,
The file is now only 40 lines long and readable again1
