With limited Internet in 92 :P I read magazines and did line by line from the books. From Atari 520 ST, to vb6, then into PHP, C++ and C#, it's fully been a ride of self learning.
I envy the new generation with the massive amount of online learning sites. At age 36, been programming since I was 12. What an advantage young kids have today!1 -
I think U and I should always be together like they are on the Qwerty keyboard. xD
But there's a distance of parallel lines between us. -
Lenovo Yoga and Linux
I'm looking for a laptop. I found the Lenovo IdeaPad 520s, but then I found the Yoga 520 for around the same price with the same specs. I was very interested, until I read about the whole Yoga 900 RAID to AHCI drama where people were unable to install Linux and Lenovo ended up providing a Linux-only BIOS update.
Can someone tell me if I would have problems installing Arch Linux on such laptop? Would I be better off buying the IdeaPad 520s? Both laptops don't have a PCIe SSD, they just have M.2 SSD. Does this mean there won't be a problem? I'm so confused.
This might not be the right place to ask, but everyone seems to be so kind to each other here on devrant...17 -
Today I got screwed over by a CDN which is the first time I have seen it. I was getting a code 520 on the browser's console.
Package link -> https://npmjs.com/package/tippy.js/
After I downloaded its contents and put it directly in a js file, my website speed doubled in performance.
Its making me question using CDNs from this point onwards.1 -
Any advice for debugging a 520 error from Cloudflare?
I know this isn’t SO but Ive been having the toughest time finding a decent way to find the cause of a 520 error from Cloudflare.
I have a droplet of Digital Ocean running Apache 2.4X and randomly throughout the day I will get 520 errors in the browser’s Networking log.
Naturally, there’s nothing even noted in the Apache error log or access log. And Cloudflare has no logs on this in the console.
If I retry the request it will go through with no problem.
Anyone experienced something like this?5
