There was a bug in "Change email" module. When the functionality is called, it sends 2 emails:
1. to a current email w/ a link to 'reject email change'
2. to a new email w/ a link to 'confirm email change'
The flaw was in how these links worked (the clockwork behind them). If one link is clicked, another one is NOT deactivated in the bkend :)
Now the task for you is to figure out why this is wrong :)4 -
Win 10 on ARM will not make it. Here's why:
- The devices are ridiculously overpriced.
- Performance is abysmal with emulation.
- Native ports are rare because nobody buys the devices.
- MS doesn't get it.
Instead of addressing the chicken and egg problem, MS even fucks up more: Win 10 S, which is usually pre-installed, can only run shit from the app store. Yeah MS, you think just because Apple gets away with this crap, so can you? Newsflash, Windows isn't iOS, and you aren't Apple.
Even VS 2019 doesn't install the ARM toolchains by default. Because, why would MS entice devs to address ARM64 as conveniently as possible?
MS will just keep gawking at Apple like a pig at a clockwork, and Win 10 on ARM will go down like Windows Phone.28 -
MiniDLNA for Linux is pretty cool!
Yesterday my "smart" TV arrived and I asked myself if it can play stuff from a network share, but LG does not seem to think this feature is needed.
After a moment of searching, I found out about miniDLNA, a service sharing media files on the network, which is supported by the TV.
10 minutes later the folder was connected.
The first song I had to play was "a bit of the old Ludwig Van", ninth Symphony, Fourth Movement, Abridged.2 -
I have a few colleagues who code best when slightly drunk. So I gave it a try a couple of times. That didn't work - I immediately felt drowsy and sleepy.
In general, I don't drink. I like it when my mind is razor-sharp and works better than a swiss watch, and even tiny amounts of alcohol spoil that clockwork for me. So drunk coding is not for me. -
So I just acquired a Samsung galaxy S3 running Android 4.3 with Clockwork mod recovery off friend, and last night it ran out of battery. Then I tried charging it. It's not charging or turning on. Any ideas what's going off?8

Had 1 beer in a pub. Had difficulty walking back to hotel.
You can tell I'm not a big drinker.
2 more weeks to pass here, in Dublin. And not get run over while crossing a street [u know, opposite traffic].
Somehow...
All for the sake of that promising project.8 -
Diving balls deep into Reactive Native + Electron after close to a year hammering away like clockwork with Python(everything), Flutter/Dart, EJS/JS/jQuery/Node makes me feel like my manhood has left hahahaha

Another on workflow:
When the IT department thinks it's a good idea to limit the snooze function in windows update to ten minutes, and of course, you think about that half a day you'd need just restoring the workspace and get back into the groove, so you decide to postpone and remember to do so again.
Then like clockwork (literally and figuratively): within twenty minutes the machine reboots because you were too focused to notice the notification again.. And all is lost.
Ok, so windows does a good job restoring everything now, but that's Windows 10 while work uses 7. The conclusion is the same: IT department should focus on their tangled cables, things they know. -
I enjoy working through problems with friends and coworkers, teaching and learning, and generally helping get work done. I feel a bit like I'm being used as a tool and not a resource though. At first I was helping someone with code here and there, but now it's every day like clockwork, and I'm basically doing their work for them. I'm trying to guide them by explaining my thought process, but it almost seems sometimes like they're just waiting for answers to type.
On the plus side I'm getting hella practice on multiple projects and it probably looks good to higher ups being so resourceful, but can a guy get either a break or a raise? Lol
