Anyone hear about the emergency patch that Microsoft just released? Its a RCE vulnerability CVE-2017-11937 which ironically targets all of Microsoft's security products.

Basically when Windows defender scans a specially crafted file the attacker can run code as the LocalSystem. Nice one Microsoft!

I just wanted to turn off my throw it in my backpack and go home. But freaking Windows has just decided that this is a great time for an update 😡

2 freaking hours wasted on "Working on updates. Dont turn off the computer" on windows10. There should be a way to postpone that. Jesus

This is the best thing that could happen for people with headaches in relation to updates. Anniversary update brings more control.

I am seeing a lot of people infuriated a lot about windows10 updates.
And I am just sitting here on win7 with disabled updates.

Waiting for some free time to fetch my new computer with ryzen, throwing some linux dist on it and virtualize the shit out of windows for gaming only.

Something similar needs to be written below, "Windows is updating... this will take a FEW minutes".

Any ideas? 😝

The amount of times I've had to stare at a "Getting Windows ready" screen when I want to get work done is driving me insane. The amount of times I've wondered why my pc is slowing down to a crawl just to find out that damn installer worker is claiming my cpu or the update module is using my network to download updates.Windows 10 is a cancer on systems that do not have spare resources.
