Well, after I convince my most beloved client which, minimal design is meant to stay well, clean and sleek. There can't be too much elements to be in it. So user can have a very comfortable experience browsing your website...
Then the ClientA said:" But I hope to show them more about my business..."
*facepalm* I surrender... yet another doomed to fail site coming soon...
ClientA: We need a minimalist design.
Me, took around 2 weeks to come out a very clean and sleek design with minimal elements.
ClientA reviewed and said: Can I add this and that? I think add in more picture can help to strengthen the credibility. How about......3
Client A: “What does that little button do? It looks so not fit in though. Can we just remove it?”
Me: “It basically serves as a sort function and to make those data look more tidy when you first input them. Especially when it comes from many sources, it .....blah blah blah.... So it's quite inportant to stay there according to UX basic.”
Client A: “??????????”
Me whispering: “Jon Snow.....”
Client A: “Sorry, what?”
Me : “Noooothing~ let’s talk about the other module shall we?”5
Boss: "What have you told the client yesterday?"
Me: "Project progression and..... money?"
Boss: "Don't do that again. We will deal with them about that later, just tell them something technical that they will not understand."
Client A: "So, how about those features I told you yesterday? Can it work? Have you discuss it with your team?"
Me: "Yes, it would possibly have to extend the due date a little bit more..."
Client A: "Meaning?"
Me: "You have to pay more."
*Another 15mins awkward silence moment*
Client A: "I don't understand."
Seriously, get some other guy to do the meeting please...I am not good in PR....4
Client A: "I understand that we need to extend the due date for the project, but why we need pay extra for that?"
Me: "Because my people and I need money to survive as well...."
wild people somewhere with real high end laptop (it's apple, so we can tell by looking at it?) :"am developing a website..."
.... "develop" a website... using wordpress?
i think these days people have confuse the term develop and design.....4
just receive a refurbished 4 years old laptop.... then deep clean it.... now having dilemma on picking a distro......
mainly use to run data analysis (r, Python, Java, C++, mySQL, MongoDB and some cloud servers...)
my thinking about a good distro to me, comfortable appearances, customize freedom, community support and constant security update.
any suggestion people??6
Client A: "so we using cloud-based server? is it safe? will raining cause data leak? you know rain water is from cloud? how you guys manage to control it???"
client A: "why don't you code in Java then? it looks much more authentic! those alien-like structure just so cool to us!"
me:"cause i can do the same thing with around 15 lines of code using Python instead of 100 lines in Java...."
client A:*confusing look*
then we have a 15mins of awkward silence time...
please don't set me to meet client T_T...1
