A big fuck you to Maria Ruiz. He/She wants PewDiePie removed from YT because the New Zealand shooter said subscribe to him and other stupid reasons which Pewds has clarified as satirical.
And the 68k+ brainless entities who signed the petition as well on change.org5
Stupid prof thinks paid M$ office/email plan is much better than GSuite because it is free.
Everyone should learn to code" is a movement to flood the market with Software Engineers so that salaries can be reduced.
Conspiracy theory that I just read on reddit and sounds about right.
Would you feel the same?12
(Dev)Life in the past 12 hours
Oh boy have the last 12 hours been a roller coaster ride for me. Noob me decided to "compile" AoSP for my device to get a taste of how custom ROMs are built from source. Overall it was fun but the errors were a very good excercise for googling, SO. Couple stuff I learnt ( possibly useful for anyone who comes here )
* The shebang line ( #!/usr/bin/env python ) on my system translated to Python 3.7 environment instead of the expected Python 2.7. Best solution I think to avoid confusion is to create a python 2.7 environment and source it.
* Get your trees right. A jar file called WfdCommon.jar ( apparently known as wifi-display common ) was the cause of several hours of hunting the fault. My vendor tree somehow didn't have this file so dex2oat was borking out like mad. I'm still amazed how I figured this one out almost by myself. ( Basically I had to check every file included in the boot class path, and find the odd one )
* I wasted a lot of time in finding the right files to change version numbers and all. Maybe I didn't search XDA properly for a guide ?
Overall it was a fun experience. Also if anyone's experienced in this area could you share resources to learn more about custom ROM development? Specifically on the tweaking part where you mix features from different ROMs to make a great ROM ( like AoSP extended or Pixel Experience ). All I could find were on the zips and not on sources.10
This, my friends is the rate at which ads and trackers are being shoved into our faces. It's just been 7 fucking hours since I installed Blockada and this is what I have. 1000 fucking requests blocked.2

Salute to everyone who can handle clients (the dumb ones).
So the client I'm freelancing for gives me this website and asks me to scrape entries out of it. It had about 45 items. I did that sent the file. Next day he says my file had the wrong data. He wanted data which satisfies X but the URL given was for Y. The least he could have done was to let me know in the first place instead of giving random URL to scrape and then blame me.2
"The laws of mathematics are very commendable but the only law that applies in Australia is the law of Australia", said Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull today.
Now what the fuck is this? Why would you propose a blanket ban on end-to-end encryption or force companies to build "secure" backdoors? At this rate retarded politicians would make our lives too difficult.
Not dev related.
Two incidents that I'd like to share.
So here in India two major streams for college are engineering and medicine (others do exist). So entrances to both these colleges are based upon entrance exams. So here are two "events" that happened this year and worth mentioning.
The exam for the engineering stream had a section where the answer is a number with up to two digits of decimal. Range is (0.00 - 9.99) So apparently this two decimal precision created some confusion and the court decided that if the answer is precisely "seven" then only the candidates who've marked 7.00 are given marks while those who marked 7.0 or 7 were given wrong answer.
So for the medical entrance, exam was for 720 marks (180 questions * 4marks each). So every candidate from the state of Tamil Nadu were given a full 196 marks as bonus because the translations from English to Tamil we're inaccurate.
Now I need to mention that around 300 marks would fetch a decent seat in a government college.
What the fuck is happening? One the only thing they're supposed to conduct every year is also messed up. And who the fuck created complicated shit like 7.00 is correct while 7.0 and 7 are wrong. I mean should the candidate worry about the getting the answer or marking it?
For those who don't know wrong answers are penalized heavily and there's huge competition.
So these motherfuckers expect the IT guy to fix their crippled machines on a Friday evening?
Actually it's fun watching how one man's absence can throw a city into chaos.

Is this the beginning of the end of Windows?
Pls mention if it's a repost.2
Rant about my stupidity.
For a full day I've been trying to get the desktop environment on my fresh Arch installation working(on a spare laptop).
Guess what? I was running startx instead of startxfce4 and wondering why isn't xfce4 starting.
Guess I have more such stupid acts to be encountered.3
I was wondering Microsoft deliberately made Windows 10 shitty so that users are forced to download them updates. Why would anyone do that? I don't know.3
The highlighted lines are a part of a flask app I'm writing in Python2(not python3 because I'm a bit too lazy to fix few dependency errors). All functions work as expected and all templates are rendered individually, and routes are all defined. check_date checks for invalid dates like 32Jan, 2018. It returns 0 if date is valid. add_data basically returns 0 if it decides to add user data into the database(db).
The problem is that line 60 renders but lines 54,57 don't. Any ideas as to what might be going wrong.?
PS: I'm building this app for learning and not for a production environment...1
Just saw on Zuckerbook.
Moral : Put a screaming message for such idiots on support sites to fucking read the error. It's all written there.5
The fuck is this shit. Retarded play store can't even notice an active internet connection.
BTW that warning is thrown everytime I open it.1
This is a rant.
I'd rather say go fuck yourself. I mean whatever the fuck you mean by block chain programming? Found a word and start adding random words to it and start learning it? I mean who the fuck wants to program AI in HTML? (Seen somewhere else)11
#define useless unnecessary
Fuck off Zuckerman and any dev who codes such shit for useless permissions and especially FUCK YOU CLIENT for asking your dev to ask for all useless permissions for your fucking app just because you think it's cool ;
this === 'rant'
A million dollars for the head that creates a lethal virus that forcefully uninstalls IE and installs Firefox/Chrome and unleashes it upon planet Earth. Sorry if this sounds too harsh but guess what? FUCK IE.13
This is random stuff.
I wonder what would happen if an innocent new user unknowingly reports a rant written by @dfox or by @trogus themselves.🤔
Maybe a beautiful post or maybe a nice email like
"Dear @... you might not have realized but @trogus and @dfox are the creators of devRant"3
