This is the code to hack into a GPS-Navigation. Taken from the Netflix-series "Designated Survivor".9
Microsoft announced Visual Studio 2017. Yeah, Party.
I am so hyped, because with it comes C#7.0. I am speaking of tuples, pattern matching and local functions. This will be great. Soon ☺️🎉6
Microsoft is now a member of the Linux Foundation.
While the dev community makes OS wars, the company and the foundation is making love. Take them as role models.9
Never had the situation to give advice to a new dev. But I have an idea anyways: Give that dev a problem, which is above beginner level and watch the dev. If the dev rage quits and doesn't want to try again, then the new dev will not be happy with the job. But if the dev achieves to collect all knowledge to handle the problem, even if the solution is not the most elegant way, then the dev will have fun with the profession.2
My best friends from university. Somehow I ended up with friends who are all better than me in computer science. Thus, I am basically forced to work hard to keep up.

Just finished reading this gem from start to end. It is over 20 years old and it is crazy how it is still up to date and applicable. Great work.8
I propagate to others that the use of singletons is bad, but still use them on rare occasions in code, which only I touch. 😈🐒4
So, I will try to use devRant as an issue traker for itself!
Sometimes a gif shows on click just a blank black screen and an x for closing on top left corner. And it does not change after some waiting.
The issue stays the same after closing and opening the specific gif again and again. If it is loading for a long time, then a animation indicating that would be nice.
Strangely, other gifs are loaded and shown instantly.
I hope it is not too bold to reference you: @dfox4
Do something brainless.
Like taking a shit.
Hear music loud and dance.
Talk to people but don't listen.
Surf in the internet.
Take a walk.
And so on and so on.
Most of them are doable for hobby projects at home. Some are also suitable for work. Choose appropriately.
But if I am stuck, then continueing to try solve the problem most often keeps me stuck. So doing something else is my solution. So far it worked well.10
In a helper for a testing environment there was a flag called CheckLayoutConf. The documentation stated: if set checks if the layout configuration is valid and fixes it. I was curious about the validation and fixing mechanisms, so I looked into the code. But if the flag is set, then the layout configuration is just deleted, so in the next start of the program a new default layout configuration is created. Nice "validation" and "fixing" you for there, I thought to myself.
This sad Keanu was gifted to me by a coworker and friend. He sticked it to the monitor, when I was on vacation and he felt bored without me.
Keanu is sad, because I had to break one of his legs, so it does not occlude the monitor.
Also the sad post-it-Smiley came later. Another coworker messed around with my cube of magnetic spheres in my absence. He could not put it back to a cube together, so he left this post it on the magnetic spheres. I thought that day Keanu and the post-it fit together well. This sad Keanu now wears a sad mask.
Because this item reminds me of the kind coworkers and nice occasions, it is my favorite item on the desk.2
C# FTW! New features for C#7.0:
tuples, pattern matching, local functions *coder-gasm*6
Hi, I am a recruiter representing awesome projects. It's the next thing after machine learning! You would be crazy not to apply.
But the is a strict requirement: you need to have 69 years of experience in devRant. Please comment if you have serious interest.5
