Once one of my coworkers tried to prank me while i was afk and changed a line in my code.
Good old habits of mine instantly realized the file's unsaved status and i could ctrl+z without even knowing someone edited my code.
Don't mess with a developer. We know our shit.2 -
I really feel sad for the person that is going to manage my code in future :(
Poor guy will have nightmare about this6 -
(If anyone remember) A lot of mine two months old rants were related to one of my client who also happened to be my relative. Now this client's uncle (who is also a relative) sent a message to me and asked me if I can put one of his nephew in my company. He assured me he's a good programmer.
Are you fucking kidding me? Just like that? If he was any good, he would have got a job or at least would have done anything by himself.
P.S. When I looked at his CV, he knew almost all languages :-/3 -
I finally erased completely windows from my machine and switched to linux.
Burn in hell Microsoft... Lol10 -
Attempting a huge undertaking. I'm trying to convert a large JavaScript library, written in standard ES5 syntax, to Typescript with ES6 syntax. Turns out it's extremely difficult, but if I can finish this it will be 100% worth it3

when you get excited about working on the train instead of playing games on your phone but then have to wait thirty minutes to reboot because windows 10 and Dell laptops don't care about computer people.

Stickers made it to Niagara! Not the first set either, we have a solid dev community up here. Thanks for the stickers @dfox!1

I was wondering...
What do you guys think of different work places e.g not working at your desk but instead working outside with a laptop?
I think you would lose alot if productivity because your screensize is limited and so on while coding. But if you're just writing/replying to Emails i think it could be fun.4 -
Client: We need video chatting facility in our website
Me: Ok. But it will take more time and effort. It will cost you more too!
Client: Don't build from scratch. We use Skype in our company. Just embed in our website too!
Me: **facepalm**5 -
Since no one has mentioned it - Happy birthday, Linux.
And thank you, who goes through fire and water debugging this enormous creature (this could've been worse, right?) -
It's a great feeling when you are 18 years old and already got job offer, because you finished every single task during your internship - really well in fact.7

It's my birthday today, I was born a year after Linus set out to create Linux.
As a dev, I couldn't ask for a better day to celebrate. Thanks Linus!2 -
Went to my boss to tell him that I will be leaving by the end of the year. Apparently he had similar plans and pretty soon we were discussing where he can go to!5

Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure no java code should be able to jump from the if block to the else block, and then back to the if statement, ahen trying to initialize an object1

My developer career has ended before I even start. After failing to get a job, I have started a business men services company. Maybe in the future, I will include software development to the business. So no more rants from my side at least for one year.
Fuck you all fucking retarded companies who wants junior developers with the same experience of senior developers.6 -
Have anyone ever been forced to use a certain operating system at work?
Any linux users that has been forced to use Windows or Mac?17
